Located in the centre of Hong Kong, it is situated next to the Bank of China, one of the city's most emblematic constructions. Far from competing with it, the new building seeks differentiation. Fruit of the intersection of two towers of different heights that combine straight and curved facades, contrasting with the straight volume of the Bank of China. The towers go straight into the ground, without any base body, and the curtain wall of the facades withdraws to leave the structure bare and provoke the entrance to the building, letting it flow towards the garden and the square which accompany the building.

Unusual design ... looks like a giant open book or something. In a way it reminds me of the Minerva Building being planned for London.

Anyway, it has a cool glass facade but I'm not that keen on the overall shape.

This is to an extent lost in the jungle with its towering neighbours and the density but it is one of the better HK Island buildings. Reservedand cool by HK standards.
