Did anybody else witness the hundreds of young people dressed like Santa Clause yesterday (Dec 8th) wandering around the city, bar to bar, getting wasted?

Apparently it's an all day affair, beginning at about 10 am. I met a handful of them last night in a bar on east Houston, and they were telling me about their adventures of the day. They text message eachother periodically, telling eachother where the next bar will be, and those of them who are still able to walk continue in this fashion, going place to place.

It sounds fun (maybe 5 years ago before I was married), and it's a yearly event. I also saw a few people who looked a little older (mid-late thirties), so it's not entirely a post-college bachelor kind of thing, I guess.

Yea SantaCon. My friend did it last year and said it was tons of fun, until he got kicked out of one of the bars they visting for passing out lol.

I wanted to it really bad but I my fake taken away from me so I wasnt able to do it.

I did see a bunch of people dressed as Santa over by Tompkins Sq yesterday.

Yeah, I saw them when I was in the subway train. They were fun.
