Insane alex December 12th, 2007, 06:43 PM Nice! But it's gonna be around 16fl and not 25fl! :P
Þróndeimr December 13th, 2007, 10:25 PM Whats the name of the building, Annedal or Kvarteret Baltic?
And if its going to be 16 floors it won't be 75m! Interesting building though, looks alright.
Insane alex December 14th, 2007, 12:02 AM It's Kv. Baltica
Swede December 15th, 2007, 10:28 AM Doing little diggoing at the city's website...
Accordung to pdf:s linked from the projects page (http://planer.sbk.stockholm.se/SBKPlanTemplates/SBKPlanView____2770.aspx), the height will be 51.5m (maximum allowed hight for that building, usually maxed out) and 17fl (from the rendering in the latest pdf with a rendering), construction company is NCC and architects are Brunnberg & Forshed arkitektkontor AB (Jonas Claeson & Sören Eriksson).
The rendering in the last batch of pdfs

Boscorelli February 9th, 2009, 06:10 AM This project should be updated! It got approved last year even.
Has the construction started?

Swede February 10th, 2009, 11:54 AM Haven't been near there in quite a while. No clue of it's under construction yet so I'm marking it "App" for now.

Boscorelli November 23rd, 2009, 04:31 PM It is under construction now!
The start of the Annedal project was in april.
11433 November 23rd, 2009, 06:08 PM the highrise isnt u/c. Some buildings to the left of kv baltic have just risen a couple of floors.
I attended a sales meeting a few months back, regarding kv baltic and it was divided into three stages and the highrise was the last one. They were hoping to start building stage one durig november/december.
Boscorelli November 23rd, 2009, 06:14 PM ^^
I see! I thought it was the whole area, thanks for telling.
11433 April 11th, 2010, 08:02 PM I just notice today when I past the site by train that the foundationwork has begun so hopefully we will se this one risen out of the gound quite soon.

Really? Great news! Hopefully someone will go there and take pictures and post it here when it starts going up! :)
Pierren April 12th, 2010, 06:58 PM I might work on this project this summer if I'm lucky. In that case there will be plenty of pictures :)

Boscorelli January 15th, 2011, 06:34 PM I like it! Nice height.
It is that 17 or 18 floors which most buildings aiming to go a bit higher in western Stockholm seem to end up at and it is always Bromma airport that is the given reason why it can't be much higher.
ScraperDude January 17th, 2011, 06:34 PM Bromma needs to go bye-bye. Easier said than done, I know :)

Yeah I'm all for closing it down!
A great place to build new appartments but they have had their lease* extended for quite a long time, can't remember for how many year now.
*Don't think lease is the correct word in english but I think you know what I mean anyway!

Bromma airport is literally putting obstacles in the whole of the western inner city and the western and southwestern suburbs! It was absolutely absurd and almost illegal to write on such a long business contracts as the politicians made! Forget any hope of some highrises on these areas during the next 30 years! Unfortunatily! :ohno: OF

I do know what you mean. :) I also understand Bromma causes quite some noise and the restrictions are in place for hours of operation.
As you said, it's a great location for more housing for STHLM.
michau July 12th, 2011, 06:01 AM The building is now called "Mattisborgen" according to NCC's homepage: http://www.ncc.se/sv/Boende/Sok-bostad/Stockholm/Stockholm/Annedal/. So I think that perhaps the name of this thread should be changed.
As I live just a 20 minute walk from Annedal I felt that it was my duty to take some pictures :)
Below is Annedal seen from Ulvsundavägen (2011.07.05). Mattisborgen is the building closest to us in the middle of the picture:

Great update! Much appriciated! :)
Svartmetall July 12th, 2011, 11:55 AM Wow, a second fantastic update in one day, great work! It's good to see a decent amount of apartments under construction. It will be really exciting once the transport infrastructure has been upgraded too (I think the Tvärbanan will be within walking distance from this development, am I right?)
michau July 12th, 2011, 06:01 PM It will be really exciting once the transport infrastructure has been upgraded too (I think the Tvärbanan will be within walking distance from this development, am I right?)
Yes. Though they will have to wait for the Kista-branch to have a tram stop real close to Annedal (nr 1 on the map below). On the Solna-branch the closest stop will be "Bällsta bro" (nr 4). It's about 800-1500 meters to walk (depending on where in Annedal you're living).
http://www.boiannedal.nu/images/user/undersidor/Kommuniknaratill.jpg
Map and more about public transport in the area can be found here: http://www.boiannedal.nu/kommunikationer/naera-till-tva-stadsdelar/
Svartmetall July 12th, 2011, 06:10 PM ^^ I guess that just adds additional weight behind the argument to complete the Kista branch as soon as possible given the amount of construction in the area.
Thank you for your information! :)
michau July 20th, 2011, 04:02 PM I have recently presented some pictures of Annedal that were mainly concentrating on "Mattisborgen" (the high-rise building). But I think it's worth to take a look at other buildings in the area as well. So here we go :)
(I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post them. Is it limited to just the high-rise building or can we see it as an all-Annedal thread?)
Here is a map of the area:
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/various/annedal_karta.jpg
Of interest for this post are the following numbers:
1 - Linabergskajen
3 - Brf. Åparken
4 - Annedalsvägen 41-47
6 - Brf. Båtsman
7 - Brf. Sagobäcken
9 - Mattisborgen
10 - Kulla Gulla
All pics below are taken by me during the last month.
Let's start with "Linabergskajen" (Skanska, Brunnberg Forshed) seen from a hill behind it:
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110620_linaberg/110620_linaberg_7488.jpg
One of the buildings seen from the street level:
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110621_annedal/110621_annedal_7539.jpg
The first stage of construction in Annedal was concentrated along Annedalsvägen. Here is a view of the street towards east:
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7904.jpg
And two views towards west:

http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7951.jpg
My favourite place in Annedal is Åtorget (river square) where Bällstaån (Bällsta river) has been substantially widened. This place is dominated by one of Brf. Båtsman's (BESQAB, White) buildings:
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110705_annedal/110705_annedal_7853.jpg
Behind it you can see one of Brf. Åparken's (Einar Matsson, Joliark) three buildings:

"Åparken":
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7910.jpg

Kv. Sagobäcken (JM, Sweco):
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7911.jpg

http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7925.jpg
All 4 buildings of Brf. Båtsman (2 big and 2 small):
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7929.jpg

They are really special:
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110705_annedal/110705_annedal_7857.jpg
From Annedalsvägen "Båtsman" doesn't look as good:

Now let's take a look at Kv. Kulla Gulla (Svenska Bostäder, Tovatt Architects):

My favourite building in Annedal (beside the "Båtsman" at the water, of course) is probably Annedalsvägen 41-47 (Trifam, KSARK):
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7985.jpg

And finally some shots of Annedal seen from Ulvsundavägen (Ulvsunda road):

"Mattisborgen":

Åparken (river park) along Bällstaån - on the right. And a bypassing Pendeltåg (commuter train) - on the left:
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110705_annedal/110705_annedal_7828.jpg
As you can see Annedal is really close to Ulvsundavägen...
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110705_annedal/110705_annedal_7841.jpg
..and Mälarbanan (Mälar railway):

That would be all for now.

Valleman July 20th, 2011, 08:50 PM Thx for the update! The area seems to lack of both shops and people :P
dj4life July 20th, 2011, 08:55 PM Thank you very much for the update! The project looks nice, but, honestly, it is very unimpressive. :(
Joney July 20th, 2011, 11:38 PM Love the update. Pretty interesting architecture there, not another lame "hammarby sjöstad" outcome.
Svartmetall July 21st, 2011, 03:44 AM Looks really good! Hopefully when things become more established in the area we'll see more people and shops.
michau July 21st, 2011, 09:13 PM Thank you for your comments
Thanks for the big update! Annedal is a really nice area! Gotta visit there some time
Yes indeed, it is nice, or I would rather say, it has all the chances to be nice in the future, because today it's still a big construction site :) And I think that the people living there are quite happy that the nice walkways along Bällstaån were completed at such an early stage of the construction of the area. Otherwise they would not have any place where they could spend their time outside.
Recently a park called Lönnebergaparken has been opened too. It is a man-made hill that shelters Annedal from the noisy Ulvsundavägen:
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7983.jpg
http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7984.jpg
Thx for the update! The area seems to lack of both shops and people :P
AFAIK people started to move in just a few months ago, so there are not so many living there yet. And most of my pictures were taken around 22 pm, which maybe makes this place look more empty than usually.
And true, there are no shops there yet. AFAIK they are planned at a new square close to Bällstavägen, which will be built in the last stage of construction...
As for now people have to walk to Sundbyberg. And it's not a very pleasant walk, especially at night, I have to say... I hope that they will make the areas between Annedal and Sundbyberg more friendly in the near future.
What I find quite dissapointing is the almost total absence of retail and service space at the street level on Annedalsvägen, which is one of the main streets in the area. The architecture on the street is also quite uninspiring, many houses seem to be turned with their back-side towards the street while the better side faces the water.
Thank you very much for the update! The project looks nice, but, honestly, it is very unimpressive. :(
I don't think it was ever meant to be very impressive ;) The goal was rather to build a nice and children-friendly place for living... Though I personally find some of the buildings really interesting.
Love the update. Pretty interesting architecture there, not another lame "hammarby sjöstad" outcome.
I don't find Hammarby Sjöstad that "lame"... Maybe the main street... But many of the buildings close to the water are quite interesting. I have a feeling that the same syndrom can be detected in Annedal...
Looks really good! Hopefully when things become more established in the area we'll see more people and shops.
Yes, for sure. My pictures maybe didn't show this in a good way, but one should not forget that Annedal is still a big construction site.
There are many construction plots even among the already inhabited buildings:

http://www.michau.se/pics/my_pics/stockholm/2011/110710_annedal/110710_annedal_7964.jpg

Valleman July 21st, 2011, 10:02 PM I now that there will be 2 shops in block number 20, since I have been working on that project :)
Mabey some people also are travelling to "Bromma Blocks".
Svartmetall July 22nd, 2011, 02:01 PM Thank you for the information and further pictures. It's great to see people are getting out there and posting information! :)
I, too, hope the walk between here and Sundbyberg will be improved with time too once the areas construction takes off further.
Boscorelli August 22nd, 2011, 02:11 PM Båtsman will be inaugurated tomorrow!
