Going through pics with my mother from 1982-83, we couldn't recall where exactly they were taken anymore, but perhaps some of the intrepid Angelino forumers could be of help--

These first 4 are looking out the front of our old apartment building in Culver City, reasonably close to the Fox Hills mall (the last one is turned to the right, looking down the street).

looks a bit like the butterfly preserve near lax... from the southern end

yeah. that's the hills west of LAX that used to be full of homes. it was part of Playa Del Rey. now it's just empty streets. all the streets are closed off now as a terrorist precaution.

The first picture is the Target in Culver City on Jefferson Blvd.

Sweet! Yeah, all of that checks out (with some Google Earthing)...grazie to all. As for the Lorelei apartments, they're not in a desirable part of town, so they may have changed names by now.

Its funny but when I lived over in Venice, I used to ride the bus right by Fox Hills Mall and cannot recall the bordering street names!?

Its been over 20 years so its no wonder I forgot. Boy do I miss LA.:)
