The Riverfront area is coming out very nice (Ivy, Mint, Cima, Wind, Brickell on the River 1 and 2, NeoVertica, Latitude). Is there anything else planned for that area any time soon???

Downtown Miami is evolving so quickly. It doesn't even look the same as it did 2 years ago.

The ride cost $17.00 which is not bad. I have gone to observation decks in NYC and they cost far more than the Downtown Balloon. It only went up 400 feet, I guess because of weather conditions and city limitations, but the operator told me they took it to 163 meters the other day or arouund 530.' According to him they could go over the height of the Wachovia Tower easily, as far as the motor and cable would allow. With good condition they let you move around the cage freely. When it is a little windy they require for riders to stay put but when it is calm, like today, you can move around freely. The ride is about one block away from the Bayfront Metromover station.

Great pics! Miami gets better every year, it really is going to be the #1 city in the south soon. I am looking forward to my trip down there next month.

The day I rode it, it was pretty calm. Wind was not noticeable. It did only go up to around 400' although the operator told me they had taken it up to much higher than that a couple of weeks earlier.

Kewl 120 meters is pretty substantial!
