Just had a thought the other day.
What has happened to the proposal for the Sir Peter Blake memorial on the Auckland waterfront?
The one where they were gonna stick one of the AC yachts in a glass viewing case of sorts, and to be co-managed by Te Papa.
It's been a number of years since SPB's tragic death, yet still we have no physical memorial to him.
Is this project still going ahead? Maybe now we have abit more planning on Tank Farm, they could utilise the boat, but make it more of an icon on the harbourfront.
