mhays December 30th, 2007, 11:34 PM Good pics! Glad you enjoyed Bellevue, our answer to North York if I have that right.
To answer your question, it's Ruth's Chris.

YES!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!
It felt like a suburb of Seattle. You can see Seattle, the same as you can see Toronto from North York.
The place seemed cleaned and very modest. I really like it. Im really into the whole Seattle area. There is alot of things that attract me there, not to mention the companies, malls and industries that are in the Seattle area...
People there were friendly. I really liked the atmosphere. Alot of people are into the whole University thing. Alot of people wear Washington U on their shirts and hats which i liked...

INDEED! :)
I had a great steak there. Its not in Canada. We only have the basic types of steakhouses/bar and grills. Outback and Kelseys...
You guys have so much more.
Its funny what happened in Ruth Chris. I was munching on Venizion (deer) steak. Me? Being jewish and all..... on the night before Christmas Eve eating poor old reindeer.... I was just asking for some animoity towards me! :)
Backstrom December 31st, 2007, 12:49 AM I'm glad you liked it here. I have yet to make it out to Toronto, but when I can, I'll be sure to take many pictures.
Black Box December 31st, 2007, 01:34 AM Hey, nice photos. Glad you enjoyed your stay. I was just in Bellevue yesterday. I rarely make it out there, but me and my crew decided to burb it for the day. We had a snack at a billiards place and then saw Sweeney Todd (loved it), at Lincoln Square Cinemas. Afterwards, we drove further east to Szechuan Chef for amazing food. I've been hearing more and more about the ethnic eateries in the strip malls of the Eastside and so far, from what I had, it's remarkable. I'll be spreading the word and exploring the food offerings on the other side of the lake more often. This is an encouraging development for me because I've always been a city person, but I feel very comfortable in the suburbs surrounding Seattle.
other page December 31st, 2007, 03:00 AM Thanks for posting these. I don't get up there enough to see the progress.
WESTSEATTLEGUY December 31st, 2007, 07:00 AM Wow! Nice pics! I'm glad you liked it. I hear Toronto is great and I would love to go there.

Yea Lincoln mall has a wide variety of good stuff.
They also have the cheese cake factory which is good. Its not found here as well.
There is alot in the underground parking area....
The mall was nice anyways. It seemed very western. and open!
I wish i made it out to Seattle. I went there before. Wanted to go to Pike Market...when it was opened

Wow, you came down here from Toronto and visited Bellevue instead of Seattle? Interesting. How long were you in town for
Seattlelife December 31st, 2007, 09:39 PM Yeah that surprises me. I assume you here for reasons other than tourism?
mhays December 31st, 2007, 11:12 PM Pike Place Market is mostly a daytime thing because many businesses are operated by one person. Maybe that's what you mean by it not being open. Or did you go on christmas day?
bgwah January 1st, 2008, 02:47 AM You got some pretty cool shots.
Whenever I see the roof of the mall part of Lincoln Square, I can't help but think it would've been very cool to have a green roof there. It just seems like such a waste to just have blank roof there.

Hehehe, that would crazy!
I was in Vancouver for a week or so and i wanted to make a trip down to Washington so i can reap the 'not found here stores and outlets' in Washington and also because the Canadian dollar is at parity with the American. So not only do you have something original and unheard of in Canada, you also get a good deal on it!
My main destination was this outlet mall, somewhere north of Bellvue. I forgot the name of it, but its near a Casino and now some sort of resort. They have a mega outlet area and i bought a pair of Adidas shoes and some Aeropostle stuff...
I guess Bellvue makes it very convenient because your not paying the high prices of seattle hotels and your a block from a big mall and not far from an outlet mall!
I stayed at the Hyatt for a night. It was on 8th Street (or Avenue?)

I didn't go all together to Seattle!!
Last trip i went to Seattle, i went late. It was like 3ish before we left the US-Canada border.
By the time we arrived to Seattle, practically it was 5-6pm and most of the places were closed. It felt like a dead city in the summer. Moreover, i wanted to see the action and the extorted prices of the Pike Market. Not to mention seeing some cobs or tuna fish's being thrown at a whacked out distance.

This is my only photo of pike market. Im making a drama face, seeing my disgust for a landmark being closed just when i arrive there.

According to their website, take exit 255 in Bellingham (Sunset) and head straight on James (which is what the off ramp becomes beyond the intersection with Sunset) for about 6 blocks where it will be on the left.

hmm i shall remember that.
I missed that exit, cause there was maybe 2 exits to get to Billingham and one was an airport exit. That must have been it.
But im not hyped on Trader Joes. Its a nice market...organic and all that... too healthy for my tastebudz :D
spongeg January 3rd, 2008, 06:13 AM its the kmart exit and you go str8 through the lights and a few blocks down its on the left ;) - they havevery unhealthy things - their chocolate candy covered sunflower seeds or their dark chocolate mint melties - yum
when we go down we usualy go to Bellevue too - free parking and the same if not more selection than downtown
downtown is too expensive to park and unless you have a lot of time its usually really rushed
Kappa21 January 3rd, 2008, 06:27 PM ^^ I shall post my Vancouver pictures up for your 'convienience'
Northsider January 5th, 2008, 08:58 AM Very nice photos
