Nice ' slender, an interesting use of diferent coloured glass, the spire is alhtough not so tall yet makes a statement and the green crown is attractive.

Looks funky in the evening.

I like the richness of the facade and the slimness. The spire could be more powerful though.

I wonder if this kind of design makes you tire quickly...I will visit this thread again another time and decide.

I would give it a 9 if it was a big taller and it dominates the Shanghai city skyline

7.5/10 - It has good height slim side on, there's good contrast between the stone spandrels and the glass windows, and it really dances in the light of the setting sun. The glass on the slim side flows well into the rest of the tower, and the base, in both shape and materials, is also a harmonious fit with the rest of the building - some really good use of curves, without going over the edge.

BUT...The tower "broadside on" is bulky, and the one thing that DOES go over the edge is the roof. It actually hurts the tower's height because it's so bulky, and it just doesn't go with the rest of the building somehow. And that little wimpy spire doesn't help at all - it's an even worse fit with the tower than the roof, and looks like an afterthough. OK, OK, at least it isn't flat, but still...

nice shape and color, but that spire needs improvement.

the building doesn't look like it's 168m to the roof. it looks more like 186m since its roof is definitely taller than china merchants tower's spire (185m).

I'm working in this tower, I don't like it .....

commist?so exact...this tower is used by on of the four national bank of China....
and the CCB,China Constrution Bank used to be the ministry of finance of the country.

In my cotinued Sunday at work trying to put off working....

The overall design, shape and slimness is good, but the colours are rather ugly.

I like the base, which fits its surroundings well.

The tower seems to go well with its neighbours, adding cohesiveness and a slight pinnacle to the skyline.

As mentioned, the colours are the only thing which spoil it.

There are some good ideas in the crown design but it all doesn't work too well. It should probably have been a bit more intricate to really achieve full potential. The rest of the building is good.
