The Abraj Quartier is a major component of an ambitious mixed-use development that will house over 30,000 people on an artificial island, “The Pearl”, constructed in the waters of the Gulf. A blend of traditional and contemporary design motifs and prominently located at the entrance of the causeway linking island and mainland, the Abraj Quartier consists of seven residential towers—five of 36 storeys and two of 40 storeys; the latter straddling the access road to the mainland and forming the “gateway” to the Pearl. In addition to the towers’ 2,000 residential units, the project includes 200 waterfront townhouses. Over 350,000 m² of building area and 160,000 m² of decked parking for 5,000 cars occupy this 13 hectare site.

I love this area! I was looking forward to seeing better pictures and finally thanks to Suzan we got to see what this area looks like! I especially like the two front buildings!

finally.. looks amazing, plus I can only imagine how good the view will be at 30 floors+ looking at the whole pearl above all the towers with west bay in the background. :yes:

It will look amazzzzzzing !! but got bored waiting for these two towers !! just like the four season ! it seems they wont be built ! they so slow ! signing contract with a construction company took them forever !! so what do you expect building 40 stores towers ! wont be ready till 2020 tho it says end 2016

no but in this case they have started the piling. I can see the machinery work every day and night. This is fast track. already overdue and it seems finance is there for this once unlike most of other projects in doha.
