Btw, was it the third tallest when it was completed?? Wasn't the Chrysler and 40 Wall taller (or maybe Chanin Building was completed before them?). Woolworth and MetLife Tower was in that case nr. 1 and 2.

It probably was because it was completed in 1930 while probably 40 Wall and the Chrysler building were U/C. It probably held the title for only a couple of months.
