View Full Version : Masterplani Francez | The French Masterplan DanMs January 21st, 2008, 12:42 AM This thread can be to introduce all the projects that are suppose to be developed under the French Masterplan. Also news about dates of construction if possible. DanMs January 21st, 2008, 12:47 AM Intro The Tirana City Center Masterplan was drawn by the French “Architecture Studio”. The main aim of this project for Albania off plan properties is to preserve the historic heritage and to combine high quality architecture with carefully and modern renovated historic buildings. Only four or five years ago, Tirana was a rather unpleasant site. Now a light, beginning awakening is discernible. With the help of institutions such as the CEB for example, the reconstruction is begun according to the master plan. Streets and underground car parks are built, the public traffic is built (again) and the historic city centre, once the meeting point for the generations, is to be revitalised. The master plan even pays attention to the city’s skyline. A number of so-called towers – matching the historic heritage – will be built around the main square of the city and some towers will be built in the northern part of the historic city centre, which becomes a new housing area. People will work as well as live in these towers. There is no doubt about how necessary it is to realise this master plan. The only open question is the date by when these works will be completed. Unlike in Belgrade, in Tirana a secured finance plan is not yet complete. The CEB does provide support for the major projects like the reconstruction of the nearly completely destroyed schools, streets and sewers, but many other themes are not (yet) included in the confirmation of funding. International investment is actually unknown if one ignores the city’s only 4-star hotel (Hotel Europapark) – a project of the Austrian investor Rogner from Corinthia. Rogner has ventured out to Tirana years ago but to date his example has not been followed. Experts are sure, however, that “the caravan” will find their way to Albania sooner or later. SkaNdErBeG January 21st, 2008, 01:14 AM There are news about that at urbania.. The masterplan is a vision.. The detailed new regulation plans for that area (but also the areas around and the outskirts) are on their final stage, and soon (maybe they are already finished - Ols may know this better) ready for implementation.. DanMs January 21st, 2008, 01:46 AM Have the construction of certain projects started already? Or is that too far in the future Pardon me but i have no idea whats being done about French Masterplan... It made a lot of noise but nothign concrete SkaNdErBeG January 21st, 2008, 02:20 AM it wasnt suppossed to be "too far in the future".. 3 of the towers (Archae, EOT and TID) was supposed to finish in 2008-2009. while construction havent even started... Exactly one year ago, i emailed the architects from Netherlands behind TID tower, they told me they were excited because the design had been changed and construction had just started (January, 2007).. The tower hasnt even been raised one floor above ground level.. The situation with building permits have been catastrophic in 2007... ABSOLUTELY NO building permits were granted during 2007, except the 33 permits in December 2007 right before entering 2008... Among them are Archae tower also (which is strange, why give building permit now, when it already was approved a while back ?) Maybe they didnt grant anyone building permits before december 2007 because of the regulation plans being prepared :dunno: Whats happening with Eyes of TIrana, i have no clue... This was the first tower being approved, it should have finished construction by now (or at least this year).. Pavlo January 21st, 2008, 02:25 AM Unfortunately bureacracy has it's worst effects on such aspects of life as urban development. This plan is a good, but sad, example :( Kapedani January 21st, 2008, 05:36 AM TID has already started construction...you can see it on Google earth. DanMs January 21st, 2008, 08:01 AM I think the government is not too supportive of these city center projects while the municipality is. Thats very bad especially because everybody needs to be involved. Does Google Earth update their maps frequently? ArberTironsi May 4th, 2008, 01:55 PM si i behet puna kti french masterplan tani qe nje plan tjeter per qendren e tiranes eshte ne zbatim apo french masterplan nuk kishte ndonje plan specifik per qendren? gjergjkastrioti May 4th, 2008, 02:54 PM plani francez eshte nje plan i pergjithshem i qendres se qytetit por jo shume i detajuar deri aty sa te jete ai percaktuesi i cdo gjeje. |
