Is construction continuing? Chicago will be green with envy if Panama City builds a "Spire" before they do, which seems likely since the Calatrava twist is on-hold.

I love how it was accomplished... much like Absolute "Marilyn" here in a suburb of Toronto... balcony/floorplate rotation defines the shape (see below).

This "Spire" really suits sub-tropical Panama somehow (much more than Chicago) so I hope it's still on its way up.

Great idea/design and great addition to the Panama City (suprising) skyline.....

I recently visited the construction site of Revolution Tower, on January 16 and I took this picture for a customer of mine who owns two offices on the 16th floor. I saw a lot of activity. Contrary to many projects which are being discreetly shelved, this landmark is about to grace Calle 50. I cannot wait to see the spires going up.

What you are seeing is one lot which was occupied by an old building, which has now been demolished to give way to new developments, the rest of the area is Panama's CBD.

Where else? If you mean in some kind of cluster, I believe so. If not there will be a cluster soon.

It's located on Calle 50, there are some skyscrapers over there:

Completed: Global Bank Tower (176m), Torre Banco Continental (122m) and Credicorp Bank (+110m)..
Under construction: Tower Financial Center (255m).

And there's a lot of 10-20 floors buildings.

Wooow que rascacielos mas colerico!!!! se fumaron uno fuerte al proyectarlo!!! ja.........Yo que vengo de un pais sismico me llama la atencion como ciertos pilares bastante gruesos por lo demas no descargan su peso en la losa pero sin continuidad hasta el nivel del suelo.....me gustaria si alguien me explicara o bien un diagrama de cargas estructurales para comprender mejor el modelo...

I like it. I agree with Eric Offereins ^^. The glass should have been more like the Heron Tower in London in my opinion but the spire is looking much better than I expected.

Shame about the podium. They are a plague on virtually all Panama towers.

So this is the tower I've been searching for! I love this project. But a design like this would've been more appreciated if it were a supertall, which I wished it were. But anyways, I'm loving the updates. Can't wait for it to be finished

This is an amazing tower and it proves that in Panama we are not afraid to go over the top in terms of design. We have pushed the Turning Torso into something completely different that is more like a screw and the base looks like a big bolt. It's becoming the most recognizable building in Latin America, along with the TOC. Recognizable buildings=recognizable skyline.

Nah it's not blue at all, it's green, the sky and the photo editing made it look blue in that one pic.

That is correct, when the renders came out, many tried to compare Revolution Tower with the Turning Torso, but they really dont look alike, cos the Revolution is full 360 degree twist with the shape of a screw.

Tip of lightning rod - 236.42 m.
Top of spire - 232.70
Roof - 196.50
Highest office floor - 175.90

his tower is amazing when I first heard about it I didn't like it but now that it's topped out I really like it.

Hola amigos Panameños. Tuve oportunidad de conocer su hermoso país en Abril. La verdad que me llamó mucho la atención el desarrollo que tiene, la cantidad de inversiones en construcción que pueden verse.
Aprovechando mi estadía en el hotel Radisson aproveché para sacar esta foto del Revolution (en ese momento no tenía ni idea de su nombre).

Agreed, podium and crown aren't on par with the main part of the building.

I love the building boom going on in Panama at the moment, but I really don't like this. I think this may be the worst "twisting" tower out there...

But I love the city.

I don't like it either. The shape is incredible that's for sure! But as a building.. I don't know. I like the buildings at the waterfront a lot more.

The cladding is not poor, is just that pictures don't make justice, I can see it from my apartment and looks great, very good quality of cladding.

That base portion of the buildings serve a practical purpose - parking. As for the perceived pyramid, it's an isosceles triangle-shaped spire.
