This village looks like it could have been plucked right out of Bulgaria. :)

How far south in Greece does one find villages like this? Is it only in Macedonia?

Oh, and very nice pics, btw.

Its main similarities with any Bulgarian villages would probably be the ottoman architecture influence i guess, which is no way uncommon in Greece.

Arxeos, check this thread http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=615859 and you will realize you are wrong :). Fortunately there are not only a few, but hundreds of fully traditional villages and towns all around Greece.

Villages like this? Can pretty much be found in many parts of mainland Greece. Macedonia, Thrace, Epirus, Thessaly even in Central Greece.

This village looks soooooooooooooooooo tidy :)

In BG, there are a few mountain villages in the Rhodopes, that look exactly like this one...the difference the ones in BG are abandoned and the houses are in a pitiful state...Good thing is that some people are buying whole villages and turning them into retro vacation complexes

I would love to own a village like this one :)

Very nice village, although I prefer Mt. Pelion villages just outside Volos.
This village is similar to Arachova in Central Greece, however Arachova is 10 times bigger.
