gamay ra floor area sa Rob dum. iyang food court mga 12 food space lang. layo ra ayo sa ketkai

im from dumaguete, and dili 12 food space rah!!grabe pd na ui!ano palengke??hehe!!total area ng rpd ay 48,000 sq.m..we also have an al fresco areas sa back na separate sa mall na korte half moon and has more or less 5 restos,a huge robs bank,lbc,lto, and etc...parang the terraces ang dating.. robs dum.is the largest newly opened mall ng robinsons malls,then tac,gensan,ilocos norte,and etc..hehehe!!

Robinsons Place Butuan? YEAH! Finally! Naa na jud Mall ang Butuan..

I dont consider Mall ang Gaisano dinha kay murag tiannge na man nga nay foodcourt... Honestly, I dont like Gaisano Butuan... Everytime ko maka uli dinha then adto Gaisano, wala jud adlaw nga dili musirit akong dugo sa mga saleslady dinha.. Not saleslady... sales person... di man to mga lady ang mga tao nila... coz they dont act one.

Mga walay ayo.. mga walay batasan.. Sila pa ang masuko ug magsapot sapot sa mga costumers.. manglibak pa jud!

we're not that small city. we have 5 jobe branches, 2 mcdo, 4 metrobanks, 3 bdo, etc

I am so happy that your City will soon be having Robinson Place that all Butuanons are waiting for. That simply says that your economy is on the go and hope a lot more to come in the future. What I really don't like is that you're trying to compare RP from one place to another which I guess and you also know that this could create conflicts among others. We as a Dumagueteño are very much happy with what we have achieved as of the moment.

You are also trying to look down the design of Robinsons Place in Tacloban which is not proper, infairness to RP Tacloban they have a very unique design that also suits the taste of every Taclobanons and I they are also proud of it.

For delikadesa purposes, we should not do it. Okey? Let's continue to promote Butuan City as one of the booming City in Mindanao. :cheer::cheer::cheer:

KUMUSTA NA ELECTION DAY DHA SA BXU?

It rained all morning...but this afternoon it ws just a drizzle...

just like the other precincts nationwide...it was marred by widespread confusion among voters....this was very evident as lines were very long during mornings....but after 12 noon, the people have gotten the groove of the automated pols and the lines are moving faster. It was generally peaceful save for an unverified presence of alledged armed men in a remote rural barangay in Camayahan. People trooped to their precincts despite the inclement weather.

Last night, the crawling demons of a few camps have started distributing money in some areas in the city....but I presume this is the rotten cultural trend in this freaking banana republic of ours....but Butuan is still fortunate as compared to other areas were the powers of the trio: guns, goons and gold are prevalent....in Butuan...its just on the gold I must say :)

Nag opening naman diay ang LUCKYCHIMES last friday pa. Had the chance to take these snapshots yesterday morning. I noticed na yung first floor palang ang may displays. Ang alam ko kasi, they'll be renting the whole two floors of that part of the building. The remaining space fronting the parking area will be rented to an unknown tenant yet. Di kaya baka yung KFC? sus, DILI lang unta :nuts:

I prefer KFC to be located didto sa STRIP MALL ni Peter dy. Mas bagay sya doon kasi malapit lang sa RAZON'S Halo2x.

speaking of flights, i've noticed some of the passengers bound for Butuan are foreigners :) while at terminal 3, i've had long conversation with the canadian who work for philex mining company of Surigao. And he said they are now on the explorations... more jobs.....

we have also some koreans, britons and i dont know kung anong lahi nong mag asawa kse iba ang salita nila... im sure they not bosnian, masedonian, francis.. sounds like an african...

I don't want a popular fast food chain or resto beside RAZONS or any resto along J. Rosales. Because if naay KFC sa strip mall, asa man mangadto ang mga tao? Sa KFC baya. Naa ra ba pud halo-halo sa KFC. Kalooy sa RAZONS. Kusog ilang Butuan Branch even if naa na mga resto sa Gmall ha. Pati Weegols Doongan, apektado kay if naay KFC sa strip mall, people will consider the distance ug ang popularity ug ang price, ang taste sa food, etc. Mao na luoy kaayo. Pati business sa father sa imong nephew nga si Samantha. hahaha Jollibee, McDonald's, Greenwich ug Pizzahut might also loose customers or probably their "sukis". Murag restaurant center sa Butuan ang J. Rosales ug JC Aquino intersection kay daghay restaurant sa vicinity. Chateau Plaza is an ideal location for KFC's first Butuan outlet.

no need to visit dum. thread just for the pix. 3 times nako kaadto dmgt. am not saying gamay an RPD.in fairness mas dako sya kaysa RPT. ako ingon ang FOOD COURT gamay ra. dli bya food court ang al fresco. ang food courts means mga fast foods toa sulod sa inyo mall diba? layoa ra gud sa imo tubag oi. unsa may labot sa robs bank, lbc, lto. etc.:lol::nuts:

Yup,they're a common sight now in Bxu. Saw some Korean young ladies at GMAll last thurday afternoon. You can easily spot them for obvious reason kay koreans lagi :lol:/joke hehehe... Bitaw, unlike other foreigners, Koreans look more trendy. those girls i saw naka mini plaited skirts & black ankle boots, very sexy. Tua sila sa RTW section sa Gmall's department store nag sukod-sukod :D

Paglabay nako sa grocery on my way to the exit, I saw another batch of young Koreans.

Siguro nag bakasyon kay daghay tourist spots sa region. Most foreigners prefer to stay in Butuan City since it has the most number of hotels, restaurants, shopping/commercial centers and other establishments. Butuan's airport is being served by 2 airlines with daily flights to Manila and Cebu using the 180/156-seater Airbus A320/A319. Butuan City is the gateway to tourist spots all over the region.

Even foreign women are a common sight. :lol: I saw two Caucasian ladies with a Caucasian man in Gaisano taking pictures inside and outside botiques, shoppes and other tenants.

same observation here ateBunns...on my way to manila from Butuan..two seat aisles in the plane were occupied by senior aged Chinese/Taiwanese men in formal suits...I wonder what business have they conducted in Butuan :)

seated a seat away fronting me are Caucasian couples probably European...

on my way home to Butuan at NAIA terminal 2, at the Butuan assigned gate are several mix of Koreans and Caucasians joining the long line... Its good seeing them inside the plane which was full at that time... I must say a good indicator of growing international travelers coming into Butuan/or using Butuan as entry point...^^

The airport was busy today kay 5 flights ang Cebu Pacific. Two (2) MNL-BXU-MNL flights were special designated flights because all MNL-BXU-MNL flights were canceled yesterday. I don't know if canceled din ang CEB-BXU-CEB.

The first designated flight was 5J 785D which arrived at 10:36 AM. Another designated flight, 5J 787D arrived at 3:26 PM.

this mining industry gives me apprehensions...though it provides capital...but in the medium term I doubt its benefit to the place where they operate...

Caraga's mining I must say is a mis-directed destiny.....for it goes against our thrust of establishing a sustainable eco tourism beltway within this provinces....I cannot imagine the destruction mining industry could bring to these natural sites our region possess..

Yup, the Alegrado's owned both Inland resort hotel Butuan & Surigao. Sila pud ang owner sa Blue Waters in Cebu.

Ang Almont Inland Hotel diri Butuan dugay na kaau ni. If I am not mistaken mga year 2000 pa.

Amante's running mate, Lawrence Lemuel H. Fortun, is also leading in the same latest count against incumbent Vice Mayor Dino Claudio M. Sanchez of Lakas Kampi-CMD party.

As of 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Amante garnered 57,732 against former city Mayor Leonides Theresa B. Plaza of Lakas-Kampi- CMD with 49,960 votes.

Rep. Aquino also garnered 77,894 votes against Angelo A. Jimenez's 35,588 votes while Fortun also garnered 62,126 votes against Sanchez with only 39,125 votes.

In Agusan del Sur, congressional race for 1st district -- Maria Valentina Plaza (Lakas-Kampi-CMD) garnered in the initial provincial board of canvassing count 61,748 votes against Roberto Aquino's (LP) 32,738 votes.

In that same province's 2nd district congressional race -- Evelyn Plaza-Millana (Lakas-Kampi-CMD) garnered 51,210 votes against Ceferino Paredes Jr. with 35,188 votes. (muc/PIA-Caraga

for a change...

if there is something that WE Should change now....I believed is the Bad Habits of Every Butuanon citizen in particular and Pinoys in general.

No matter how frequent we change our leaders or our system..... BUT as long as we remain in the dark of our backward self serving bad habits, we shall remain in the glut of predicament til kingdom come.

If people treat Butuan just like their own homes, by taking care of it well, keeping it beautiful, and promoting it....then our problems will be eased. BUT as long as we just delegate this sacred duty to just one person, and left everything to bahala na....then ambot lang :)

wow^^.....now that land filling is done....those earth movers and backhoes are busy making progress at the construction site.... by next month the bridge will also undergo a major repair and face lift....both projects will surely change the Butuan waterfront cityscape ^^^^^^

guys makabayad kaya ang lucky chimes sa may samping bldg ng monthly rental nila na 100,000., after a week of opening mga tindera lang ata ang mga tao sa lucky chimes sayang ang location kung kfc sana ang nagopen dyan baka grabe ang tao

nakabisita ko sa lucky chime shopping center tapos daghan baya namalit pag-adto nako. nakapalit gani ko ug bag-o nga phone with wifi/multimedia/touchscreen/etc nga nakuha ra nako ug 1/4 the price dire sa manila.

Gibahin bahin sa Lucky Chime ang space tapos giparentahan pod nila. Accordingly NOKIA will rent the space nearest the entrance. Daghan na man nakarenta so kung 100T ra per month daghan pa sobra labi na kung maconvince nila nga sa ila morenta ang KFC. By the way, di ba 400T ang renta nila for the whole building ug dili 100T.

Nice na ang predeparture area sa bancasi airport. dili pa fully operational ang aircon mao grabe kainit. Hopefully mahuman na pag-install ang airconditioning units para pwede na ipanghambug ang ato predeparture area. Puno tanan flights bound for manila pero nakasingit pa ko via Cebu. For 2 hours transit time sa Cebu i was able to save 2T. not bad.

i agree. okay na ang predeparture area pero guot ang arrival area. anyway naa pa man hinoon dako nga room for expansion kay naa man siya sa kilid. Maybe the incoming city officials can do something about this.

Na shelved na diay tung plan ni Mr.Albert Ong to purchase that lot occupied by former Big Joe (owned by the De Jesus siblings). Sayang tung itukod unta nga the "Largest" building in Bxu :nuts:

The entire property is about 10T sq meters. But it was decided that only 8T square meters will be sold to Dotties. Ang remaining which is about 2T square meters, dili na gusto ibaligya sa owner.

According to a very reliable source, okay na unta ang agreement sa sell out, problem is, the owners refused to established which part of the property is the 8T sq. meters. Nah naunsa naman ning De Jesus family nganong dili man nila klaruhon sab :lol: Naturally, dili musogot si Mr.albert Ong kay gusto man niya ang frontage nga lot.

Naka-operate naman ang Air Philippines dire sa Butuan. Ilang route is MNL-BXU-MNL using their Boeing 737-200. That was in 2001. When PAL acquired Air Philippines, gi-terminate nila ilang service. That was 2004 or 2005. Nag comeback ang Air Philippines dire sa Butuan noong 2008 and codeshare sila with PAL Express ug dili na MNL-BXU-MNL ilang route kundi CEB-BXU-CEB. Last year lang nag terminate napod sila ug service. In Q1 2010, Air Philippines and PAL Express merged into one company under a new name, AirPhilExpress. They phased out all their Boeing 737's. Now they're using PAL's old fleet of Airbus A320's and PAL Express' young fleet of Bombardier Dash 8 Q300's and Q400's. Wala pang AirPhilExpress dito but maybe soon, pag natanggap na nila ang kanilang brand new Airbus A320's, AirPhilExpress might take over PAL's MNL-BXU-MNL route to compete with Cebu Pacific.

Sa ZestAir naman, there are rumors that ZA will serve MNL-BXU but they're lacking aircraft. Matinuod lang na kung naa silay bag-ong aircraft unya kung makaginhawa na sila kay sige baya sila ug kadelay. Imagine? 6 lang ilang aircraft (3 A320's and 3 MA60's) unya more than 15 ilang destinations. Sa tibuok Mindanao, Davao ra gani ilang gi-serve as of now.

yup...speaking of hospitals.....SJIT has also added to their plan once they resume their LCS Center in South Montilla Blvd....to include a modern hospital... their new Buenavita Maritime Campus is almost done as of this writing :)

Liberal Partybets in Butuan City dominate local electoral posts

Butuan City (14 May) -- Candidates of the Liberal Party here dominated in the city's top positions during the May 10, 2010 elections.

Dr. Ferdinand "Jun" Amante wins mayoralty post over his close opponent, former Mayor Leonides Theresa Plaza with 8,927 votes. Amante, who was proclaimed at around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12 garnered 65,663 votes or 66.63% in the Official Comelec tally while Plaza garnered 56,736 or 33.37%.

In the vice-mayoralty post, Atty. Lawrence Lemuel Fortun who is also one of the city councilors here bested incumbent Vice-Mayor Dino Claudio Sanchez by a matter of 25,646 votes. Fortun got 70,417 votes or 60.48% while Sanchez has 44,771 or 45.92% of the total number of casted votes.

Meanwhile, LAKAS-KAMPI-CMD bet and incumbent Congressman Jose "Joboy" Aquino successfully seeks his second term in the 1st District of Agusan del Norte and Butuan City. He bested Liberal Party's bet, Atty. Jijil Jimenez by 39,385 votes. Cong. Aquino has 78,902 or 66.63% while Atty. Jimenez garnered 39,517 or 33.37% votes.

It can be recalled that the proclamation of the three were delayed due to one of the PCOS machines that was used in Brgy. Imadejas here, where the main memory card as well as its back-up card, both, did not function.

Actually, daghan na may mga existing Birthing/Lying-In clinics diri sa Butuan.
There's one also diha daw J.Rosales going to City Hall.

Pero this New Clinic that I've mentioned, wala pa ni siya gi-advertise kay wala pa man siya magsugod.
Naa pa sila sa stage nga nangita pa sila ug possible source for some of their Medical supplies preferably here in butuan.
My bro-in-law is one of those contacted to help. This firsthand info came from him :)

Walang direct from OZAMIZ to BUTUAN na aircon bus. I think you have to travel from OZAMIZ to CAGAYAN. Then CAGAYAN to BUTUAN na aircon bus. So from OZAMIZ to CAGAYAN it takes 3.5-4 hours, then CAGAYAN to BUTUAN another 4-4.5 hours, this gives you 7.5-8.5 hours of travel time, depende sa bus na sinasakyan mo. hehehe :)
