Yes. I don't like BCES na... extremely crowded na gyud and I don't like the environment and the atmosphere. I can smell the foulest stench in there. Murag palenke.. saba kaayo unya baho pa kay panington ang mga bata, naa pa gyud basura bisag asa. Di pareho sa una nga when I was in elementary nga moderate pa, karon severe na hahaha :hilarious

I have a brother nga naa sa STEC.. starting tomorrow, ako ang mokuha sa iyaha... pero mao lagi na ang kalagotan nako ba... ang atmosphere and environment sa school.

At 10 in the morning, Balangay have entered Agusan River, facing the strong current Balangay slowly paddled. Balangay docked at PPA port at past 11 in the morning.

Mindanao railway seen getting $1.3-B Saudi funding

MANILA, Philippines—The state-run Saudi fund for Development may provide as much as $1.3 billion in cheap financing to fund the government’s planned construction of a railway system through parts of Mindanao deemed vital to the economy.

The Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said officials were currently looking for concessional loans from several sources to fund the Mindanao Railway System, listed as one of the Arroyo administration’s priority projects.

“One possible party is the Saudi Fund for Development. They’ve expressed willingness [to finance] this project,” DOTC Undersecretary Guiling Mamondiong said in a recent interview.

The official said the estimated cost to build the Mindanao railway project’s first phase, which will pass through the Cagayan de Oro-Iligan industrial corridor, was raised to $1.3 billion from the previous $800 million to $1 billion due to changes to include more municipalities.

“There was some realignment of the railway in our studies. Four municipalities—one in Lanao del Norte and three in Misamis Oriental—were included,” Mamondiong said. “The project will now be 124 kilometers long from the 120 kilometers originally planned,” he said.

“This will be good for their local economies,” he added.

The government earlier approached lenders from Poland and Spain for help in financing the railway’s construction, but the Saudi Fund had emerged as the most likely funding source.

“They’re just awaiting the Neda’s [National Economic Development Authority] approval of the feasibility study for the project’s phase one, so there’s a possibility that they will fund the entire project if they are willing,” Mamondiong said.

Once the feasibility study for the project has been approved by the Neda and construction is given the green light, Mamondiong said the railway would likely be operational in five years time.

He said the transportation agency has also approached lenders from Japan and South Korea for the possibility of multilateral financing for the single project.

The railway system aims to link two vital Mindanao gateways, Mamondiong said. These are the Laguindingan International Airport and the Mindanao Container Terminal. It will have passenger and cargo operations.

Discussions for the succeeding phases for the entire railway system have not yet taken off, the DOTC official said.

The Cagayan de Oro-Iligan route is being prioritized since the covered stretch is an industrial gateway and a key trade center for the southern Philippines island group.

The planned Mindanao railway is made up of a network of lines linking Cagayan de Oro to Iligan, Iligan to Zamboanga City, and Cagayan de Oro to Agusan and Surigao, as well as extensions to Davao and General Santos cities.

The plan for the railway started with former President Fidel V. Ramos. It was revived by his successor Joseph Estrada, but the project failed to take off.

Record number of nursing grads take board exam

MANILA, Philippines—A record number of nursing graduates are taking the professional licensure examination today and Monday.

Before he and other members of the Professional Regulation Commission’s Board of Nursing went into quarantine, Marco Antonio Sto. Tomas said a total of 95,282 nursing graduates have applied to take the nurse licensure examinations scheduled on November 29 to 30.

The number is an “all-time high” in the history of the exams, said Marco Antonio Sto. Tomas, a member of the Professional Regulation Commission’s Board of Nursing.

Another 51 with “conditioned” status are also scheduled to take the exams for failing in some of the five subjects in past exams, he added.

The biggest number of examinees comes from Metro Manila (40,621 first-timers, 33 conditioned); Baguio (14,102 first-timers, 7 conditioned); Cebu (8,899 first-timers, 5 conditioned); Cagayan De Oro (3,045 first-timers, 2 conditioned); Davao (8,143 first-timers, 2 conditioned); Iloilo (6,020); Legaspi (3,070 first-timers, 1 conditioned); Lucena (3,444); Tacloban (1,145); Tuguegarao (2,322 first-timers, 1 conditioned); Zamboanga (1,609); Jolo (166); Pagadian (1,568); Angeles (179); and Butuan (898).

The number of nursing graduates taking the board exam has steadily increased over the years, Sto. Tomas said, citing board figures starting June 2003.

The number of examinees this November surpasses the 88,649 who took the exam November 2008.

A total of 7,993 examinees took the exam in June 2003; 7,632 in December 2003; almost doubled to 13,225 in June 2004; dipped slightly to 12,100 in December 2004; more than doubled to 26,000 in June 2005; dipped again to 24,287 in December 2005.

At the controversial June 2006 exam, which was marred with findings of leaked questions, the number of examinees again almost doubled to 42,006.

A total of 40,147 took the exam in December 2006; almost doubling to 78,583 in June 2007; dipped to 67,728 in December 2007; further dipped to 64,459 in November 2008; increased again in June 2009 before reaching this November’s record number of examinees.

I have never felt so proud when "BUTUAN" is mentioned several times in the news this morning, even in the ad campaign of Boto mo ipatrol mo, as a Butuanon myself, ang sarap pakinggan ng pa ulit-ulit.Kahit sa ganitong paraan lang, it's our beloved BXU's shining moment. Our local ABS CBN here man gud are sometimes so irresponsible to always refer Butuan as Caraga. Tuloy ang nangyayari, nawawalan ng identity ang city natin mas lalo pa tayong hindi makikilala. If it's about Butuan, they have to say BUTUAN. If it's about the whole Region, then just say CARAGA!

yes..however during december man lang ni mahitabo kay ang June sa cdo man mag take og exam according to my source..allegedly PRC ang gabuot niani...i just hope na..fully independent na ang PRC BUTUAN sa PRC CDO...

^^not yet pa i like nga to go and visit kc as wat i see in this threads mukhang madaming happenings and malaki ung pinagbago ng City ng Butuan...i just amaze a City that never been that katunog like ours City pero umaariba to the max....I like ur City Simple, Beautiful Peaceful ala na me masabi basta sa dialect pa namin yan Moi bien Bonito Cuidad Butuan.....

tanks..di naman sa nagbubuhat kami ng sariling chair...we are just reclaiming our lost glory..that once our ancestors have achieved...by land area..we are next to Zamboanga City...in terms of population we are quite moderate per estimate it has breached 300,000 mark..

the city has so many things to offer...

BXU...is the very code use by airline companies..a mandate from the international body governing the airport code classification...

sa Butuanon, yung native delicacy na famous..ay yung palagsing...isang uri pagkain na parang ''bobbod" sa mga bisaya..ang kaibahan lang ay..nagmula ang laman nito sa "ubo" ng nipa (white powder from the nipa trunk)ginagawa itong flour tapos niluluto hinahaluan ng coconut meat..

This is one restaurant that serves good food and a garden ambiance. It is something that you will be again looking forward every time you come to Butuan City.

diba daghan man mga vendor section diha sa market sa libertad? gimahalan ra cguro sila sa renta mao nga diha nalang sila nag pa hipi sa pedestrian... dili man gud kaayo gamit ang pedestrian kay mo tabok ra man gihapon ang mga tao sa dalan... pero kung ilang butangan og grills diha sa center sa dalan... well mapapha ra ng mga vendors diha... gi career nila... hehehe pero we'll see after xmas and new year... karon ra cguro na sila kay pasko man gud... gaan nlang nato sila og consideration.... :cheers:

wala pa ni mahimo Rex. They will erect this in Baan or in Los Angeles by 2011. They are still raising funds for this project. The one that you mentioned nga naa sa Baan Km 3 is actually the Regional Headquarters of the Seventh Day Adventists for Northeastern Mindanao.

In 2005, my sister in Arizona was having discomfort sa heels niya na hindi naremedy ng doctors niya sa Phoenix. When she visited BXU also in 2005, we brought her to JunJun Amante sa clinic niya sa MJSantos Hospital. In a few minutes JunJun was able to diagnose the real cause of the discomfort and the medication he gave to my sister took away the discomfort like magic. My sis never experienced the said discomfort again. But the big surprise was hindi niya kami pinabayad kasi very minor lang daw ang case ng sis ko and he only spent less than 5 minutes for her.

Depende na sa mga taga-BXU Rex. We have to accept that the term of GMA is fast coming to an end. If Gibo will win, then Daisy will be a good choice kasi allied sila kang GMA. But how about if Noynoy will win, then JunJun will be a better choice. Right now ang layo ng acceptability rating ni Gibo kay Noynoy but of course malayo pa ang election and matalino din naman si Gibo.

In 2005, my sister in Arizona was having discomfort sa heels niya na hindi naremedy ng doctors niya sa Phoenix. When she visited BXU also in 2005, we brought her to JunJun Amante sa clinic niya sa MJSantos Hospital. In a few minutes JunJun was able to diagnose the real cause of the discomfort and the medication he gave to my sister took away the discomfort like magic. My sis never experienced the said discomfort again. But the big surprise was hindi niya kami pinabayad kasi very minor lang daw ang case ng sis ko and he only spent less than 5 minutes for her.

15 thou man cguro back and forth travelling to Hongkong? mo luparay man gud akong isa ka pag umangkon...mag via hongkong aron dili mahalata.... naa pa ba kahay promo nila aron maka avail ta?

nice man guangzhou pero mas nice ang changmai thailand.. mao na sulti sa akong mga kauban nga halos gihimo na nila og extension ang thailand while naga travel pa bakasyon sa pinas. My gf gusto sa Hongkong pero wa may exciting place sa hongkong aside from disney... naa lagi mga higanteng building... unsaon man ng building labad labad lang na sa ulo... :lol: pero ako jud paningkamutan ang antalya turkey og ang jerusalem.... hapit nako kaabot sa quota nako.. hehehe :cheers:

nice daw ang guangzhou... pero nice sad ang jerusalem kay ma feel daw nimo ang spirit... hehehe tapos barato ra daw ang food og hotel... $15 per night pero mag palit sa kog maayuhon nga camera before ko mo lupad didto.. :lol:
