aren't there any attempts to revive amman-zarqa river and brings it back to life, i read alot about rivers revival projects in different countries of the world, and rivers can restore their original path and ecosystem.
our cities need alot of work to be beautiful and the revival of zarqa river is the first step.

i think they are beginnig the study of the feasibility of transferring water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea, the study costs more than 15 million us dollars, while the project itself is expected to cost more than 3 billion dollars.

revival of zarqa river =revival of azraq oasis = revival of dead sea = WATER.
we dont have it.........................we must work on nuclear power stations ,we have a lot of uranium in our phosphate...................it will solve our water + energy needs.

we can use wind and solar energy for desalination, for example perth in australia has a wind farm that generates about 60 megawatt used for desalination of water which produces about 50 million cubic meter of water for the city

unfortunatley we dont have enough wind power ...........exept maybe some of it in irbid /um qais area.........but i am not sure is it strong enough for major power harvesting.

nuclear option needs time but for the time being we can use other sources and its important to diversify our energy sources

i heard that there is also a big deposit of oilshel that is not on the surface( needs digging, and not the same area)..........
is that included in the 40 billion u mentioned?

why are we importing oil?...................we should be exporting.at current prices its feasable.

i don't know if this number includes amounts underground, and i don't know if extracting oil from it is economically feasible, but may be they are afraid of great ecological impacts on the country.
