The new tallest building
in Buenos Aires

Translated part of it:

250 meters in height, more than 70 million Euro's of investment and 57 floors which mixes residentail units with a luxury hotel. This is the what is going to be the tower designed by architect Patxi Mangado (Estela, Spain 1957) in Buenos Aires; a giant skyscraper covered by a curtain wall which takes the skyline of the Argentinian capital to another level.

^^ Not yet, recently was released this project, the ground where he is going to build already Bought by the Spaniards Investor -"Group Rayet and In Hotels & Real Estate "- who will invest 70 million for the construction of 40,000 m2.
This is just defining the project so far... And is expected to begin its construction 10 months.

English in a Buenos Aires forum??You've GOT to be kidding me...Here's the reminder,Buenos Aires is in Argentina where they speak SPANISH there.Spanish is more than welcome in this thread thank you very much.

You are in an international thread.

Very impressive and beautiful project to add to the impact of the Puerto Madera district.

No way this can get built out by 2010, even if it starts in early 2009.

Even more impressive than the building itself, is that this project will be attempted in the current banking credit crunch.

I will watch this one with great interest and will hope for a "project is a go" status soon. --DrT, Jacksonville, FL., USA.

If you got all the reason a project of this size would take at least 4 to 5 years to complete, what happens is that in argentina holds two bicentennial, May 25, 2010 (in celebration of the autonomy of the Spanish monarchy) and July 9, 2016, (Declaration of Independence). I think this tower was completed in 2016.

What's the status?

Right now, only a proposal.

What about height restrictions?

I do not believe that the Puerto Madera "highrise" district has any.
Argentinian forumers, correct me if wrong.

However, 11 Times square looks a lot better proportionally than the renderings of this hotel do, so let's hope it turns out better than what's depicted.
