Abstract: Norwegian Hotel Tycoon Arthur Buchardt wants to build a 200 m tall skyskraper, set to be finished in 2014 to conmemorate Norway's bicentennial anniversary of its first constitution. It will have a surface of 73050 m2 (number of days since that very same constitution was written down). It will have a mixed use; offices, flats and hotel.

Arthur Buchardts hotell Clarion Sign i Stockholm invigdes förra tisdagen och norrmannen är nu igång med sitt nästa projekt, ett hotell i Kista om 40 våningar. Men han har långt högre planer än så. Fastighetsvärlden kan avslöja att Buchardt, via sitt bolag Öyer Invest, planerar att bygga Nordens högsta hus – i Oslo.

– Det ska bli 200 meter och invigas den 17 maj 2014, vilket är 200-årsjubileet för när den norska grundlagen antogs. Fastigheten ska rymma 73050 kvadratmeter (lika med antalet dagar sedan grundlagen) som ska fördelas lika mellan kontor, bostäder och hotell, säger
Buchardt till Fastighetsvärlden.
Han är mycket optimistisk när det gäller att få bygglov och han motiverar optimismen med att det kommer att bli en unikt ”grön fastighet” som ingen politiker ska kunna säga nej till. Nordens högsta byggnad idag är Turning Torso i Malmö som är 190 meter hög.

Anyway, this is awesome, congrats to Norweigans!!

It would be awesome if both the skyscrapers in Oslo and Kista will be built. But I find it very hard to believe this man since he cancelled the 85-storey Scandinavian Tower here in Malmö in favour for a small hotel with just a few floors and blamed it on the WTC attacks!
But the design for his new Malmö hotel in Hyllie looks good.

Yes, but I think some newspapers made some crappy montages with the tower, to visionize how it would've been with plaza etc. But as Trondheimer said, it was pretty crappy...
