I'm un-shore how this could be done or if it is done already but perhaps we could create a Leeds Architectural Awards?

Perhaps with sponsors for the awards? BBC Leeds, Radio Aire, YTV, St Johns ECT… I'm shore they would get involved. They could sponsor a curved peace of glass with the award name ECT to be given to the winner.
We could decide the winners on the forums and could send them the award or have someone take them the award (perhaps with a local media photographer). I'm shore Leeds Live it Love it would want to get involved too.

It would increase competition in Leeds and would give the older buildings something to be proud of.

I know this sounds far-fetched but I believe if we all got involved it may work.

We could have several Awards Such as:
The Leeds Historical Building of the Year
The Leeds Architectural Masterpiece of the Year
The Leeds Most Interesting Building of the Year
The Leeds Tallest Building of the Year.
Leeds’s best Retail Building of the Year.


They have one in Leeds for food (‘Lets Eat Leeds’) so why not have one for buildings and architecture.

It's a good idea, they probably already have awards for "Building of the Year" or something like that.

What about if as a forum we do a Leeds Project/ Building of the Year in a poll? (Just for fun) :)

We could put in a section on the main page to see what people oversea's think of the projects that are going on.
