Busan was only important as a port city of korea, now because of the typhoon, alot of its ports are wreked (yes it is pretty seriouse) and if Busan isnt used as a port city, why would they continue making such supertalls?

The thing is that residential buidings don't get affected by how important the city is. Busan doesn't have any office buildings currently proposed (maybe except Lotte World Tower), do they?

I'm not sure but I think Busan might gonna have a better skyline than Seoul in the future. The projects are located very close to each other compared to the ones in Seoul, aren't they?

The bridge 7.941 km long in total, and the main suspension bridge is about 1.6 km long;)

Part of the reason why Busan may be better than Seoul is its location on the sea, Heaundae Beach and better air quality.

And keep in mind that by 2010 this area will have as many +500ft skyscrapers as Singapore does today. (though not as tall as Singapore. The tallest ones will be around 220~250m tall) More than 25 of them are already u/c. ;)

Those "hills" are actually well over 1000ft (sometimes as tall as 1500ft) tall. That's the reason why Busan's skyline looks so small even though it has more +50 story tall skyscrapers then Seoul and Osaka.

Yeah, I think it is required to have helipads if the building is over 35 stories or so. (I can't remember the exact figure)

i think centurm park apartment complex is UGLY. i'm very disappointed... hopefully other surrounding high rise buildings can somehow make the overall skyline better...

In the past, Dongrae, Geumjeong, and Yeonje districts formed a single county (or a prefecture). So it's not strange that schools in Geumjeong are named 'Dongrae (or Dongnae)'.

Guys, I have a question. Is it correct to say that Ulsan is in the metro area of Busan? I think it is more like that Ulsan, Gyeongju, and Pohang form their own metro that is included neither in Daegu's metro nor in Busan's metro.

Nice pics of Haeundae mumbojumbo :laugh: IMO, Haeundae seems to become one of the most dense residential area of SK, if not the world (especially with all these new towers springing up everywhere!).
