Cebuano News: Programa sa Edukasyon gipanghingusgan sa Surigao del Norte

SURIGAO DEL NORTE, Feb. 25 (PIA) – Malampuson nga gipahigayon ang Provincial Local School Board meeting niadtong Pebrero 23, 2011 didto sa Governor’s Mansion Conference Room, Capitol Compound, Surigao City.

Ang maong panagtigum gipanguluhan ni Gobernador Sol Matugas ug kini gitambungan nila Board member Mamerto Galanida, Provincial treasurer Daisy Hubilla, Provincial budget officer Gay Cotiangco, School Divisions Superintendents ug mga miyembro sa Local School Board.

Unang nahisgutan mao ang Education Road Map, nga diin gusto ni Gobernador Matugas nga magtinabangay ang tanan aron makab-ot ang kalampusan sa Education Road Map sa atong probinsya. Nagpasalamat usab ang Gobernador sa kalampusan sa pagbisita ni Secretary of Education Bro. Armin Luistro dinhi sa atong probinsya.

Ikaduhang nahisgutan mao ang Proposed Budget nga gigahin sa atong probinsya para sa Local School Board nga mokabat sa P11 milyones, lakip na dinhi nga hatagan ug prayoridad ang mga flagship project sa local school board nga mao ang K+12, Project Best ug ang Fit for School.

Ang pagbutang sa Kindergarten Classes mao ang unang lakang sa programang K+12 ug gusto sa Gobernador nga mabutangan ang tanan mga barangay ug kindergarten classes.

Nahigustan usab ang mga pamaagi aron mapasabot sa mga katawhan ang programa nga K+12 ug Project Best pinaagi sa pagpanghatag ug mga fliers kabahin niining maong programa sa mga radio, brgy. Assembly ug pag patawag ug Barangay Education Summit.

Kaniadto, SNC was jointly operated by the MSC priests ug St. Paul sisters. However, nag agree sila nga mga madre na lang ang magdumala sa SNC hangtud na nahimomg university na ni ug gi renamed St. Paul University-Surigao. Ang campus ng bag-ong eskuelahan nga tukuron ng mga pari anha sa original site ng SNC sa downtown area since SPU mobalhin na completely sa Brgy, Luna. This whole area were Surigao West Elementary School used to be should be converted into an extension of Luneta with more greeneries, trees and flowers. Medyo barato karajaw tan awon jaon mga structures did-on. It is a hodgepodge of many "smart" ideas and better described as incidental so wayay gajud harmony. We need a solidly beautiful park and this is our chance.:)

SuperFerry starts inter-ports fare sale

Superferry brings its Todo Todo Sail Sale outside Manila with fares starting at P250 for passengers traveling from March 5 to 31 and from June 16 to July 31, a press release from the firm said.

The promo fares are for sale started yesterday and runs until March 1.

Among the selected interport routes where this promo is offered are from Cebu to Cagayan, Butuan, and Surigao, and vice versa for as low as P250.

For trips from Iloilo to Cagayan and Iligan, the rate starts at P500 while for trips from Iloilo to Davao and General Santos, the promo fare is P750. The sale is also offered in the following interports: Bacolod-Cotabato, Bacolod-Zamboanga, and Zamboanga-General Santos, the press release said.

For those traveling from Manila to the Visayas, and vice versa, the Todo Todo Sail Sale rate of P588 applies while for Mindanao, the promo fare is P888.

“SuperFerry’s Todo Todo Sail Sale makes us still one of the lowest-priced fares compared to other alternatives, especially since the 12 percent VAT and the fuel surcharge are already reflected in these rates,” SuperFerry VP for Marketing Andrew Deyto said.

Deyto added that passengers will get the lowest possible fares if they book online through www.superferry.com.ph.

Is this the cave in Sohoton where you have to dive underneath the water to reach the entrance? BTW, I did this years ago and it was fun holding your breath for a couple of minutes just to reach the inside of the cave. It is usually underwater even during low tide:)

Perhaps the LGU had your idea first as their original plan, but what prevailed then was something that would somehow create additional revenue for the city and at the same time preserve the archaic/ historical value of that imeldific shoes and that castle within a pond within a skating rink within a park.


If I'm not mistaken, Imelda helped fund the renovation of Luneta with the giant shoe, miniature castle and treehouse during Baby Navarro's admi.

with all the developments in the city along this area, it wont surprise me if soon this area will be develop into another purpose. taking this airport out within the city proper is the best long term solution.
