It just won't stop snowing ... on Wednesday we got 28cm (just under a foot) of snow, and from Friday night to Saturday night, we got another 30cm, with ANOTHER 20cm forecast for Saturday night. With this latest storm, the nation's capital has received almost twelve feet of snow this winter - nearly double the average.

On the upside, it's pretty mild (about -5°C), so I took a short jaunt through Centretown with my camera...

we got snow in march once.
it's usually a novelty here so it's still fun to have snow days once in a while, but i'm all snowed out. i'm pretty sure we got almost 10 days this year.
generally, i prefer my snow on the mountains!

To be honest, it's almost the same for us up here!

The most snow we see out of any given snowstorm is about a foot .. so to get almost double that in one shot (triple that if you want to count Wednesday's dumping) is unheard of. It's definately a once-in-a-lifetime weather event.

Lou, you should grab your camera and take some shots of the Parliament Buildings with all this snow... would be beautiful.

A few more pics from my walk to the grocery store and back this morning. The final tally for this storm was 51cm, which fell over a 36 hour span.
