It was a sunny day in London for a change, and I walked across Blackfriars Bridge towards the Tate Modern for some nice views of the City. I wasn't disappointed, and of course I took a look at that big crack as well. :)

Nice photos. I'm sorry but I cannot look at any of them without being utterly dismayed at what has been done to the waterfront.

Great pictures! Why is that crack there?

Doris Salcedo Shibboleth, a Colombian Artist, created a long, snaking crack across the vast length of the Turbine Hall of the Tate Modern Museum. It is very disconcerting when you first see it, then you realize her artistic intentions were to strike at the foundations of the museum. What is art? It certainly takes you by surprise and makes you think...

Apparently about 20 people have injured themselves by falling partly down the crack:nuts:
