Kharkiv is one of the most important cities of Ukraine with an extensive 3 lines subway system, the largest amount of university students, highly diverse ethnic composition and flourishing heavy industry.

Sukino April 11th, 2008, 07:16 PM Too massive for my liking but design is OK.

MOTA April 11th, 2008, 08:09 PM It is a very interesting building! I can see that it is beeing constructed in an old part of the city, with interesting low rise buildings around. I am just afraid that further, all those buildings could be turned down to be replaced by high rises and lose this european charm. But congratulations for this project!
mbuildings April 12th, 2008, 12:01 AM very nice project!!!!!
Ni3lS April 12th, 2008, 11:21 AM Ok, never heard about that country, but it looks like they need a new tower in that city ;)

It's a famous African city, here are some pictures, typical mid-African architecture:

Бурислав, обнови эту недостающую картинку в своей первой реплике.
4miGO!!! November 12th, 2008, 11:20 AM Парни, красавцы, уржался, пока читал про Африку.. Good project, but rather massive as someone said already.. Does Kharkiv have second population after the capital?
Brasil Guy November 12th, 2008, 12:39 PM The building height is 129,56 meters. The 143 meters figure is measuring the structure from the underground levels.
PS. Nice project, will it be the city tallest?
Energy2003 November 12th, 2008, 01:26 PM ^^ maybe thereīs a typical industry chimney with that height, but real building itīs surely the highest there in that UKRAINIAN town
but with that population density (4500/kmē) there HAVE to be a lot of commie blocks or other mid-rises
VelesHomais November 12th, 2008, 04:28 PM By population Kharkiv is second-largest, at 1.461.000 residents. Not counting hundreds of thousands of students (I think), because it's a major university city where people from other cities and countries come to study.
There 25 buildings completed or under construction with height above 20 floors.
909 November 12th, 2008, 10:52 PM Allthough i do not think this building is an example of great architecture, i do believe that these kind of developments are good for Kharkiv. Correct me if i am wrong, but during my visit to this city (for pics see my sig below) i got the impression that Kharkiv wasn't so prosperous, developed and modern as Kiev or Dnipropetrovsk. Kharkiv may be the second largest city of Ukraine, it doesn't breahte urbanity like the cities named before. The amount of highrise buildings in the city center wasn't impressive either.

There's always a bashing going on between Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk on our forum, which is more modern and better etc.
You post your pictures at the ukrainian forum and share your impressions :)
