Paxos Island (Paxi)

Hello everybody!
Another Beautiful Island part of the Ionian Islands is Paxos Island.
The island is approximately eight miles in length and the 'capital' is Gaios.

Very nice photos, i've never been to Paxos and this is one of the few times i 've seen pics of the island!

Paxos is indeed a beautiful island. I was there last month.

Gaios is the capital. Lots of Venetian influence to the waterside buildings.

Longos is the smallest of the 3 island ports, and the prettiest

There are many tiny bays on the east side of the island

The island is only 6 miles long by 3 wide (must have shrunk since you were there Florin Sev!) and doesn't have its own airport, so transfer is either from neighboring Corfu or from the mainland. However its tiny size means it's much less commercialised than most of the Ionian Islands. Well worth a visit if you get the chance.

Paxos island is like the greek Capri - cosmopolitan in summer and serene in winter. Also it draws many rich tourists visiting the island with their yachts or owing a villa there.

I also love that tropical-looking beach in Antipaxos island, looks so exotic to my eyes!
