Great tour ! Since the movies " Bullit " and " Dirty Harry " I always wanted to visit this city , whenever I will anyday visit the USA.. But SF is awaiting the "Big One " and thats too scarry for me .

For everyone that "hates" San Francisco at least 3 people like it. People are more annoyed by San Francisco than anything though. This had more to do with the rabid leftist radicals, overpraise in travel mags, pretentious dot commers, homeless white kids from Connecticut, flaky drifters, bipolar weather and pricey digs more than anything else. SF is not perfect by any means but intensely charming nonetheless. Sadly, SF will never be the avante garde mecca as it was in the 60's and 70's. Some naive people still expect to go to Haight and see a big hippie fest full of free lovin', bells on shoes, cheap rents, communes and flowers. What made bohemian SF appealing no longer exists for the most part.

This is a great photo series. You really managed to capture city life! I like it how you show the less-touristic type of capturing pictures.

You captured a hummingbird...that's incredible! Superb thread just checked it out again and so glad to see the Mission. I applaud you for not taking any photos of the Golden Gate bridge. I love your juxtapositions between old cars and tacky facades. You captured the urban grit of SF which is very impressive since most people take the usual photos of the usual touristy things which sugar coat people's impressions.
