The project includes the construction of a commercial and entertainment centre (12,000 sq. m), an aquarium (2,500 sq. m), a housing complex (40,000 sq. m), a marina with 1550 moorings, a technical port and luxury hotels. The aim of the marina is to attract large yachts to meet the growing demand of moorings in the Mediterranean Sea.

According to the info found on the web teh contractor cap 3000 ( french 0 the marina is under construction ...

hmmm...they say work starts next september...but what septembre??...most likly september 2008, 'cause september 2007 is already gone and the constructions didn't start...it sounds logical that way, works begin in september 2008 till 2010-2011...:)anyways, the project's been approuved, that's already good news ;):)

I found these details :

Aujourd’hui, les responsables attaquent un nouveau chantier. Il s’agit de la réalisation du nouveau plan d’aménagement du port de plaisance de Bizerte qui en fera l’une des plus grande marina du bassin Méditerranéen. Actuellement limité à 120 anneaux (places de voiliers et bateaux), le port pourra multiplier sa capacité par dix et désormais il pourra accueillir plus de 1000 anneaux.

Ce projet a été confié à la société Cap 3000, une entreprise d’un capital de 4 000 000DT.
Le plan d’aménagement a été conçu par un cabinet international d’architecture, de design intérieur, de design urbain et d'ingénierie fondé en 1986: Bureau Architectes Conseil "BAC".

Les travaux du port de plaisance de Bizerte devront débuter en 2008 et s’achever en 2010. Ce bel ouvrage coûtera environ 170 millions de dinars.

Le programme du projet prévoit, outre le port, une croisette avec des espaces de commerce, d’animation et de culture, un aquarium (musée océanographique), des espaces verts, un parking souterrain, un chantier naval sur une superficie de 1,5 Hectare à Zarzouna, un immeuble de très haut standing

Ce sera une première en Tunisie et ça promet : Bizerte organise son premier salon international de plaisance et du nautisme, du 14 au 19 avril 2009 sous le thème «Bizerte Nautique 2009».

Cette manifestation sera le rendez-vous des partenaires tunisiens et étrangers du secteur –qui promet autant qu’il promeut- avec la présence de certains hauts responsables de l’administration (ministres), mais également du gouverneur de Bizerte, des cadres de la région, des intervenants experts dans le domaine, ainsi que des journalistes tunisiens et étrangers et les passionnés du nautisme.

Mais en avant-première, les organisateurs de cette manifestation, à savoir la chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie du Nord-est (CCINE) l’initiateur du projet et la société méditerranéenne de commerce et de services d’expositions « MED EXPO » l’organisateur du projet avec le partenariat de la nouvelle marina de BIZERTE «CAP 3000», vont organiser une journée de présentation du salon à l’hôtel BIZERTA RESORT le 18 octobre 2008 avec la présence de certains hauts responsables de l’administration (ministres), mais également du gouverneur de Bizerte, des cadres de la région, des intervenants experts dans le domaine, ainsi que des journalistes tunisiens et étrangers.
