helghast July 18th, 2008, 02:49 AM looks taller than 350m on the renders :), but great design!
yeah more like 400m~
LeMoN-SK July 18th, 2008, 10:59 AM Interesting design. Both rejected designs look also good... And definitely looks taller than 350m on the renders, very slim. :)
Joel que July 19th, 2008, 08:02 AM most tall building in China, included a shopping mall, sadly, according to Chinese newspaper ,half of shopping mall are either thinly occupied or worse empty.unless shopping mall is strategic located .like Nanjing road in Shanghai.
skyperu34 July 19th, 2008, 03:22 PM Very immpressive ! I also think render shows a 400-meter or higher proposal !

z0rg March 27th, 2009, 06:34 PM Why changed 350m?? Not 400m??
Haha, the 400m one is another project in Wuhan. Wuhan has 3 approved supertalls now, plus a 90-floor tower coming.
z0rg June 30th, 2009, 03:33 PM This one is likely to be the final design, they said. 355m, 69 floors.

Blue Flame November 11th, 2009, 12:25 AM All of the new designs are bland and just plain old, fuckin' digusting. They should build the twisty one.
SilentStrike November 11th, 2009, 02:27 AM uhh i disagree.
I wish they built the 80 floor one with the box sticking out on top. but i guess that has 0% chance.
twisty one looks good but also the tall triangular one.
As long as there are other supertalls surrounding it that one will look outstanding
Blue Flame November 13th, 2009, 06:59 PM ^^
Okay, the one with the box sticking out is pretty interesting, but the triangular one is just soo unoriginal. Just nasty.

snapdragon January 18th, 2010, 09:44 PM Just a decade back people use to be at awe coz someone built a 200 mt vertical cubiod and use to look at with with unfettered amazement .Now somebody builds a 350 mt building which curves in a rather odd manner yet we have tons of guys complaining for its unoriginality what about all the cubiods my friends.
I think this is an indication of how much has China influenced the standards of world architecture

gonard October 13th, 2010, 12:12 PM As promised, here are some small poor quality cellphone pics:ohno: The buildings in the picture are the residential part of this project. I didn't have a chance to get to the site of the main tower since I was with my class, but I have heard through the local grapevine that it's on hold but WILL eventually get built. I guess we all need to keep our fingers crossed!

KillerZavatar June 19th, 2011, 06:10 PM i cannot see any water on the render. where is it supposed to be? behind the three skyscrapers in the gap, large open area behind it? are this the lighed up buildings on the right side of the render? or the ones behind it?
Dylan Leblanc June 24th, 2011, 08:17 AM I am not sure of the exact location either. The location Cristobal gave a link for earlier does not seem right.
^^Here you have...
http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=30.61208,114.253805&spn=0.002479,0.005493&z=18
Dylan Leblanc June 24th, 2011, 08:22 AM Figured it out, it's just a bit south of the location given in that link.

And the residential towers U/C photographed above aren't the one's shown in the renderings.
KillerZavatar June 24th, 2011, 03:43 PM looking at the map all supertalls will be spread around the city. although wuhan will have 4 supertalls at least in the future it wont be a cluster of those and maybe not be possible to see more than 2 buildings in one skyline picture

Yes. Wuhan is getting the most decentralised skyline ever. Wangjiadun is likely to get several supertalls though.

The link of the previous satellite imagery of Google Earth that I post it's now outdated. I didn't realised that was updated. I used the photos that zOrg post some time ago of the construction site, and was the only reference that I had in that time. Apparently I pointed out the site of the residential towers.
Dylan Leblanc June 30th, 2011, 11:15 PM Hey no worries! I've been trying to track down the exact location of this tower for probably a year now.
