GreatSky September 16th, 2003, 04:27 AM How would you rate the WTC proposal "glass tower"?

It is my personal favorite out of all the buildings proposed.

SteelCity32 September 16th, 2003, 11:21 PM I like the fact that it dictates the idea of the old WTC, but no. Yuck.
4/10
RafflesCity September 16th, 2003, 11:29 PM 7.5
I do like the cross-bracing structural elements which are visible. Looks classy in glass, but unoriginal.

Javier September 18th, 2003, 10:41 PM Pésimo....

1/10
SoboleuS September 18th, 2003, 10:49 PM It looks crappy and boring :sleepy: Fortunatelly it won't be built ;) 3/10
GreatSky September 25th, 2003, 06:01 AM I like it when people say the new designs for the new WTC don't give the feeling of the old ones but when elegant, glass towers that are much taller and larger than the original ones and even mimic them too, everyone says they are plain and unimaginative! I like them a lot. Much better than Libeskind's and Childs'!
Brasil Guy September 25th, 2003, 12:44 PM 3/10 whats the meaning to build something that looks exactly like the one destroyed

FastFerrari March 3rd, 2007, 08:56 AM It would b nice to see some more twins going back.....but im not sure of that design....glass would be great but i see a little to much steel....Hell juss rebuild the old one I say! ! ! !
Brendan March 3rd, 2007, 09:14 AM 7/10.
Very bland..
redbaron_012 March 3rd, 2007, 09:22 AM The original Towers had a very strong facade with simple soaring vertical columns. Rebuilding to this design combined with a stronger internal structure would replace the missing piece of New York's heart. It would state clearly that we will prevail. RIP those lost 9/11/01
ZZ-II March 3rd, 2007, 03:50 PM it's ok 7/10

Stefan88 May 16th, 2007, 03:00 AM 6/10. I like the fact that there trying to re-create what once stood there. Prefer the old WTC towers though although the proposed ones would still have fit in well with the surrounding buildings.
