I know Kennedy Town is currently a somewhat sleepy suburb in the HK Island, but does anyone know if there's any new development that is about to commence or already at the works?
I think with the planned MTR Island Line extension to Kennedy Town, I think it will accelerate the development.

At the moment I think the only private residential building under construction is 42-44 Belcher’s Street:
Total GFA (sq ft): 123,062
No. of units: 176
Developer: New Word Development
In the last decade, Kennedy Town has changed dramatically, with numerous (relatively) up-market developments being built in what was previously a very run-down part of HK Island. These include: Manhattan Heights, The Belcher’s, Cayman Rise, Ivy on Belcher’s, Mount Davis 33, The Merton and 60 Victoria Road.
In addition to these private developments, one of the last squatter settlements in urban Hong Kong was demolished in 2004, namely Mount Davis Cottage Area. Also, Kwun Lung Lau (Hong Kong Housing Society flats) is currently being redeveloped.
Whilst the pace of development seems to have slowed down in the last year, I am sure it will pick again with the the opening of the MTR extension. I think developers have already purchased many old buildings in the area for redevelopment some time in future, although I cannot remember which ones specifically.
