Woke me up about 4:30 here in Nashville, said the epicenter was up in Indiana. Been looking around the internet and apparently tremors could be felt all the way from Wisconsin to western North Carolina and North Alabama.

No damage here, but it sure was interesting. Im sure some of the KY folks on the board felt it as well.

They are reporting minor damage in Louisville. People are feeling this 450 miles from the epicenter! Wow...

I live at 2nd and St Catherine, less than a block from the building that the facade collapsed on. The chimney collapsed on my building, took a pic with my phone... trying to upload it now..

As long as they stay small...with the way this area is populated the size of the earthquakes that struck in 1811 & 1812 would level Louisville & St. Louis at the same time. It would make Hurricane Katrina look like a birthday party compared to what a major earthquake the sizes of those in 1811 & 1812 would present. But, these small earthquakes are good. They relieve pressure. I have family in Central Illinois and they felt the quake. It woke them all up.

Also woke up my parents and shook a few things off a shelf at home in Hillsboro, IL. My brother at SIUC also woke up, but said nothing fell down at his apartment in Carbondale. They had another shake last night.

I did not notice it in Chattanooga but I am pretty sure my airedale terrier did. He woke me up around that time but refused to go outside.

However, (this is good)
The father of a good friend of mine was sitting in his bathroom in Murray, KY.
When it started, he yelled to his sleeping wife that this might be a big one.
She informed him she did not appriciate being awaken to hear he was having a big moment on the toilet.

He then said, "this is not good."

To which she said, "I am not going to help you."

Just then the loud boom arrived, to which she screamed for him and he refused because of being in the middle of something.
