Hi regular Mumbai thread watchers

Now that Mumbai has its own forum, let's use this thread to decide how best we should utilize the newfound space.

Some suggestions:

Major buildings (say buildings 50-stories and above) or unique buildings that we have news on should get their own threads. That way, we can easily update them with news and images.

Many of the 50+ storied/unique buildings in the boom thread are nothing more than renderings, so we shouldn't immediately go on a thread-creating spree. I think that buildings that are so significant (ex: India Tower/DB Tower, Imperial Towers, Palais Royale, etc.), unique buildings (ex: Antilia Residence) or buildings in which we have consistantly followed the progress of (ex: Beaumonde) should have threads made.

There should also be threads for infrasturcture projects: the airports, metro, railway, sealinks, and also a seperate highway/flyover thread.

Perhaps there should also be a thread about misc Mumbai discussions as well?

What do you all think?

I agree

There should also be threads for infrasturcture projects: the airports, metro, railway, sealinks, and also a seperate highway/flyover thread.

Threads on those should only exist in their respective subforums at the national level. Otherwise there will be 2 parallel threads on the same topic.

The Roads and Flyover thread should be moved here though.

Agree

_____________

we could organize the Mumbai section like this -

Mumbai - Highrise Proposals - all renderings and news on highrises/supertalls go here
Mumbai Update II - project news from Mumbai - The present thread would start functioning as a thread for updates on city developments (redevelopment, land deals etc)
Mumbai - Malls and Recreation areas
Dharavi - Redevelopment project - This definitely needs a thread of its own

Yeah yeah, i know. I screwed up a lot of the locations for the buildings I posted here. I have so many windows up, I got all muddled up. I've pmed the mods to request title changes

So far, I've screwed up the titles on the following threads:
WORLI | Lodha Bellissimo | 252m | 50 fl | U/C [wrong location, should be MAHALAXMI or PAREL]
MARINE LINES | Dynamix-Biswas Tower | 260m | 64 fl | App [height should be 301m, should be Proposed not App]
Worli | Waves | 80 floors | Proposed [location should be capitalized WORLI]

this is a running screw-up list, subject to changes :)

edit- God dammit

ALTAMONT ROAD | Residence Antilia | 173m | 27 fl | U/C [location is missing a U, a friggin U, argh. Should be ALTAMOUNT]

edit2- God dammit

WORLI | Sheth Beaumonde | 3 x 35fl | T/O [location should be PRAHBADEVI]

Let's use this naming convention (the standard for the international forums) in creating threads about specific buildings. This will help organize the forum, give all the stats right up front, and make it look pleasing to the eye.

BUILDING LOCATION IN CAPS | Name Of Building | #Heightm | #FLOORS fl | Vision or Proposed or Site Prep or U/C or Cancelled

For example:
MALAD | Jai Towers | 5000m | 1430 fl | Proposed

I've added a couple more projects, but it will probably take me a couple weeks before I can get most of the solid projects threadded

Hi guys, I'm sick today.

The upside to that is that I finally have time to go and create more building threads on some of the more unique, tall, or more documented projects.

I'll keep editing this thread with the new threads I've created today, so that if I screwed up somewhere, it can be fixed easily enough:

WORLI | Ahuja Towers | 54 fl x 2 | Proposed (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624449)

MULUND | Ariisto Heaven | 40-45 fl x 13 | Proposed (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624659)

MAHALAXMI | Orchid Turf View | 50 fl | App (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624681)

WORLI | RNA 360 | 30 fl | Proposed (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624694)

WORLI | Raheja Atlantis | 40 fl | U/C (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624697)

WORLI | Palais Royale | 320m | Site Prep (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624711)

JACOB CIRCLE | Orchid Heights | 55 fl x 2 | Proposed (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624735)

JACOB CIRCLE | Orchid Views | 50 fl x 2 | Proposed (http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=624764)

edit- phew.. that's enough for today
Cheers,
Jai

3. K Raheja Project, Worli
4. Orchid Suburbia, Kandivali
