^ Original design

^ Finalized design of towers
Sheth Developers's 35-story, three tower Beaumonde project is one of the first glass-clad, modern buildings to come up in Mumbai, and as such is one of the furthest along in construction. It was designed by P&T Architects and Site Concepts International.
http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/7315/mumbigkd3.jpg
It's location not far from the coast at Worli, and its advanced stage of construction make it one of the most visible projects in Mumbai. It will offer panoramic views of the Mumbai skyline from viewing decks:

The project also will add a significant amount of greenery to an area lacking much of it, with a large landscaped gardens and a large environmental deck. The project also incorporates a large clubhouse and pool.

indeglow1 April 22nd, 2008, 01:25 AM great looking towers all three of them.
KB335ci April 22nd, 2008, 02:51 AM Sorry to be a nitpicker, but Beau Monde is on Appasaheb Marg, in Prabhadevi, and not Worli. The neighbourhood changes to Worli about a block or so south of Beau Monde.
Here's a list of neighbourhoods (that are undergoing major construction activity) in the island city (south to North):
1. Nariman point
2. Marine Lines
3. Malabar hill (hilly terrain, western fringe) + Pedder road (east of M. Hill/ Walkeshwar)
3. Haji Ali + Tardeo
4. Worli (west + centre) + Lower Parel (more west)
5. Prabhadevi (west side) + Parel + Elphinstone
6. Shivaji park (west) + Dadar (east of S. Park)
7. Mahim (east + west) + Dharavi (east/ N. east of Mahim)
Jai April 22nd, 2008, 06:24 AM Thanks for the correction. I suck at neighborhoods.

MUMBAI: A fire broke out at an under- construction building in central Mumbai this evening and some people were feared to be trapped inside, the fire brigade said.
A suspected short circuit caused the fire in the building at Worli Naka, they said.
Eight fire engines and six water tankers have been rushed to the spot to control the blaze, they added.
From the pics looks like sheth beaumonde.

That's right. The Subway outlet (at the intersection of new Prabhadevi marg, and Appasaheb Marg) is slightly north of the Century Bazaar junction. One long-block north, to be exact.

daaceisbak October 31st, 2008, 02:44 PM So much potential, what is behind the buildings, so much 'empty' land. There should be 20 such buildings in that area. Why dont they have a cluster with 50 tall buildings rather than tall buildings isolated from each other. Lastly what's up with the lodha building, it seems as if its being constructed in an area 51.
bhargavsura October 31st, 2008, 03:36 PM This is just a start my friend...
Cov Boy October 31st, 2008, 05:50 PM ^^ LOL
Yeah I thought that.
Lots of space everywhere mostly taken up by mills.
Looks like the mills in the pic above has had its roofs done.
The mills occupy so much space they can be turned over into residential, commercial & civic use, the one that are lying empty & derelict.
The Lodha building seems to be top secret for some reason like all projects in the city.

A fire broke out at an under-construction building in central Mumbai on Thursday evening and some people were feared to be trapped inside, the fire brigade said.

Another article
Fire in Mumbai building which is under construction.
Nothing new it happens everywhere in the world new buildings under construction catching fire,
there is lot of combustible material laying around on building sites.
some times fires are lit to get rid of rubbish(in a controlled manner.
Now the question is Knowing Indian officials and Indian construction companies past record which is not very rosy, will the structure be tested for any weakness caused by the fire or will the construction carry on as if nothing happened?
From the photographs it looks like that the fire was at the ground level on ground floor.
has this affected the weight bearing structure, ha sthe fire made the groungd floor structure on which the whole building is supported weak that in due coures (may be 10-20years time the structure will not be able to take any more strain due to weakness caused by fire and the whole building (god forbid) comes crashing to the ground.
May be killing some occupants of the building and perhaps some who may be near by.
The structural system of the building needs to be tested rigorously for strain if there is then remedial work should be carried out if it can not be put right then the whole building should be demolished and re built.
Builders Insurance (if he has any) will not be happy but that is the only way to ensure it is safe for future usage.
Owners of the building should demand all that at the minimum

i dont know what u guys think only looking at the photographs. but i have lived within 1 km distance from the Sheth Beaumonde towers for almost 3 years and i find the funny figures at the top and the "lighting" arrangement really dumb. changing colors in in the hues of yellow, orange and blue totally destroy the elegance the towers otherwise offers. be my guest and witness it urself. it really looks dumb irrespective of how it looks like in the photograph.
in short, if i am coughing up crores of my money to get a flat there, i dont want any cheap gimmicks like this at my roof top. this is not a mumbai dance bar:bash:

It's nice to have an input from someone who has actually seen this structure in person. I agree with you about the lighting on top of the building, it does look funky, kinda 1970s disco era. But again, if you look at most of the buildings in India, they tend to have weird and funky design with flashy colors. (No offense to people who like the funky design, it's a personal choice) In my opinion in India people prefer flashy colors with weird design than simple and elegant design/colors.
In these particular buildings, I like the color combination as well as the use of glass instead of sheer concrete. However, in my opinion they could have opted same design for all three buildings. Forget about that, if you look closely even within each building there are a lot of things going on in terms of the design. They could have kept the design simple and it would have turned out really elegant without the funky diamonds on top.

phaedrus May 7th, 2009, 10:32 AM most of the buildings in the world are tiny compared to the Burj.
BombayPG June 11th, 2009, 01:11 PM Tower A has approximately 50% occupancy and Tower B currently has 30% occupancy. Tower C is almost complete.
ab041937 June 11th, 2009, 02:44 PM I just hope not to see any trademark Indian way of drying chaddi/Baniyaans on balcony railings.:ohno:
India101 June 20th, 2009, 01:51 AM Should look awesome if the light up the other two.

yashchauhan June 20th, 2009, 04:55 AM Why the crown of only one of the three towers have been lit up?
India101 June 20th, 2009, 05:25 AM ^Because that is the only tower that is complete.
And welcome to SSCi
dhim100 June 20th, 2009, 08:17 AM ^Because that is the only tower that is complete.
I thought all three towers have been completed. Aren't they?
KB335ci2 June 20th, 2009, 08:29 AM ^^
Yes.
India101 June 20th, 2009, 09:39 AM ^^They are on the out side but the insides aren't. You can see tower A has people living inside of it as it has lights on. And other buildings that have lights on arr also complete. I doubt anyone would wanna live in the dark
KB335ci2 June 22nd, 2009, 06:21 AM All of Beau Monde's towers are complete in every sense of the word. I think the darkness has more to do with the fact that not all flats are occupied yet.
India101 June 22nd, 2009, 07:13 AM ^^Guess so.
BombayPG June 23rd, 2009, 07:01 AM As of last month people were living in Tower A & B. Work in Tower C was still going on. Will try to get the latest update.

Jim856796 July 18th, 2009, 10:10 AM I went to the towers' official website and counted the number of units in the entire complex based on their floorplans. Tower A has 89 units,Tower B has 56, and Tower C only has 20 units. I may have not gotten the correct number of units, so if anyone has the actual number of flats, let me know about it.
India101 July 18th, 2009, 11:17 AM ^^There probably only 20 units complete in tower C. Maybe they are still doing interior work.

Did you considered Imperial Towers ?
taller the better October 14th, 2010, 12:22 PM Absolutely- By virtue of its location.. The spread of sheer land space in the heart of the city.. Right off the main road. Stunning finishing- I think it tops The Imperial for sure.. well thats the reason its also much more expensive.
