In relation to the rest of the island:D

This shot, taken by Irving Tjin, shows the view from take off from the airport on the eastern tip of the island.

In the distance you can make out the CBD skyline with its 3 tallest buildings. In the far distance you can also see some mountainous islands, which are part of Indonesia.

Uhhhhh.......BIG time....The Island looks so small!...@_@ ! Yet hard to beleives It's The most developed country in the region!..Yeah,.....This is the example of "QUALITY THAN QUANTITY"....Why Is that?...Because I don't see any _EST in this country....correct me if I'm wrong.. ;)

according to the Merlion brochure in Sentosa, Batam Islands are visible from the top of the Merlion.

that's a lot of commie blocks/mass housing. i didn't expect that much...

It's interesting when a city was called "Huge" and "Tiny" in one thread. :D

This city-state is perhaps "tiny" as a country, but not exactly "tiny" as a city? ;)

Because I don't see any _EST in this country....correct me if I'm wrong..;) I think I understand why you say that. :D Well, I can say we are the smallEST country in Asia, am I rite? ;)

that's a lot of commie blocks/mass housing. i didn't expect that much...It is alright to say we have tonnes of public housing, but please refrain from using the word "commie". It is politically insensitive to a country that fought a war against communism before, the painful struggle of which largely set the tone for an infamously "authoritative" govt till this day.

Lives were lost due to this struggle. Please respect them. Thanks!

Heh, I can't see the CBD or city from my home.

Which part of Sg do you stay?
I think its easy to spot the skyline for people living in the East cos its so flat.

As for me I can only see Capital Tower in the distance through a crack in the trees.

What's on Kusu? A chinese temple and a Muslim shrine .. lots of turtles, two nice beaches and a nice view :)

Tiny Island!

For 9dollars from Sentosa I'm not complaining. I sometimes go there and it's wonderfully silent and 'away from it all', just sit in the sun, watch the ships go by and chill. Not many people, you do get the big ship arriving with LOADS of people, but they stay 15mins then go.

One of the few places in Singapore with that feeling :)

Not tried places like St.Johns etc, but still ... Kusu is a nice place :D
