The new version is much better, IMO. The setting beside the lake is awesome. As in many glass covered buildings, we should see a different building in reality compared to renderings. But looks nice.

I found the website of the facade designers, but I don't know if this is an old/dismissed version or the final one. According to the profile the architect is SOM, and the main tower will have 80 floors, taller than expected:

I much preferred the first renders posted at the top of the page. The new one looks tacky because of the cross beams. They should give the impression of solidity and presence but instead they look like an afterthought. :ohno:

Actually I find the second building very nice. The first one is too much of a fad at the moment and it's really a 50/50 chance it'll still be well looked up on in 15-20 years.

The second one i find on the other hand really have some of its own characteristics.

And it's more like Dallas, Chicago should be reserved for the likes of Chongqing.

no. even if there were any, I can't find any because bohaibbs has blocked people in foreign countries from accessing it.

The main tower is the one that is furthest over on the right. It is the least tall right now, but that is probably because they had to dig deeper foundations for it.

Inspired by Tianjin’s history as a city of districts, the project—which consists of three residential towers, a retail neighborhood, office tower, and hotel tower—promotes connectivity through its massing and orientation.

View corridors to the HaiheRiver, the historic quarter, the central business district, and the government district, are maintained throughout the project site. The 330-meter-tall office tower is a landmark structure that sits on the project’s central plaza, which is on axis with Liberation Plaza, the train station, and the central gardens.
