Lake Liberty, population is 1,100,000.

As always, 14x14 grids because they are, well, so perfect in placing everything you need at regular intervals.

http://capsi.com/~cap/lakeliberty.jpg

Skyline is okayish, could have been better though. I like the idea placing boulevards and having the landmarks and rewards near those. One of my rules is that all such landmarks and extras remain visible, so I cannot zone dense stuff right in front of it. Even at this view I can still find all my stuff.

Some of the tourist routes:

From the WTC out:
SW: Grand Central Station
SE: Major League Stadium
SE: Smith Building

From the Big Ben/University, all along the same boulevard:
NE: CN Tower
NE: Smith Building
NE: Statue
NE: Court House
NE: Stock Exchange
NE: Transamerica Pyramid
NE: SF MOMA
(and north of that is the Bank of America, completing Little San Francisco)

From the statue, SE along the boulevard are the Geyser Park and haunted house.
South of the statue is a Washington DC like setup with the Mayor Mansion, Arch Gateway, City Hall and the Capitol. NW is a triple double-lenght Golden Gate bridge. :)

The medical center and science lab are harder to find, they're on the north bank of the lake.

http://capsi.com/~cap/lakeliberty2.jpg

Not many Mayors live that nice, I bet. :)

You guys seem to have really much green in your cities. My cities have always been totally built up with only really little green areas. Not until now I've noticed that cities with lotsa parks etc looks pretty cool...

I'll probably post pics of my cities later.

Ive changed the horrible slums on the east part of the city, and in the middle of the low residential part I have put a massive park which has really made the land value high. Im planning to make the bottem part on the east side more of a high residential area.

No game have ever been close to how much time i spent on Sim City 3000 in the years 1999-2004. Installed it again, and reviewed some of my 170 cities.

Here is a few screenshots from two of the cities, "Zim City" with 600 000 inhabitants, and "Mt. Volcano City" with 200 000 sims. Mt. Volcano City was made right after Dubai's developments of The Palm many years ago, so its clearly inspired of it. And if you wonder, no cheates were ever used exept "i am weak"!

SimCity 3000 was the easiest game ever...just add the cheat: i am weak, and you could literally build Hong Kong style, like the city you posted, in just a few sittings. Sometimes, I actually like it more than SC4. ;)

Sim city 2000 was even more easier. You cold use your own made tileset and build the city in urban renewal kit as you want it to be.

To post your city here you need pictures of your cities. You can use the 'print screen' botton on your keyboard. Then press Ctrl+V in a photoediting program, Photoshop, Coreldraw, Paint or whatever program you have. Then save them on your computer and upload them on a Internett photo-host site such as Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/) or Imageshack (http://imageshack.us/).

Then i assume you know how to add pictures into threads and so on?

Was this the answer you was looking for, or did i get you all wrong?
