That church is pretty cool, but it really doesn't have much of a skyline.... hmmm... I give it a 5 out of 10.

It's unfair to judge Reykjavik on it's skyline as it doesn'ty really have one (except that Church is quite cool! It doesn't really need a skyline though, it's brilliant as it is.

Seeing as its my hometown and the only place I've lived besides four years in the state of Illinois some years back, I'm obliged to give it 10. I'm really glad to see how everyone thinks its such a beatiful city and everything, I guess its true when I think about it, but living here pretty much since I was born kind of makes you forget how great it really is. And I agree, no skyline sucks a bit, but I've always liked Hallgrímskirkja (the church everyone here is talking about), in my opinion the most beatiful building in Iceland. Not to mention the largest one in the country, despite which it only reaches 73 meters/240 feet, though it can look bigger since its standing on the top of a hardly noticeable hill.

Actually, now that I look at them, I can see both the building I live in and the school I attend from some of the pics there, and I could draw a crude arrow or circle around them if anyones curious.

while us in Yellowknife (17,000)... we need to build a skyline on permafrost. looooollllllzzzzzzzzzz!!!

I don't know why people are comparing:
- Reykjavik (131,000)
- Yellowknife (17,000)
- Arkhangelsk (341,000) and
- Fairbanks (31,000).

maybe because of their northern location? but they have different populations and different scenarios. fairbanks and yellowknife have permafrost, while reykjavik and arkhangelsk have currents so they stay warm...
