we need more buildings like these instead of those concrete boxes.

Not too mention they ugly colors they decide to paint many of those buildings. Seems to be a Kerala thing.

The project isn't dropped! :)
Yet another project on the revival.

Nitesh Wimbledon Gardens is back!
JP Morgan Global Fund has invested $40Mn for a 45% stake in a Nitesh Estate SPV. This SPV will be executing three projects totalling 4 mn sqft in Bangalore and Chennai. The deal will have a five year horizon.

Founded in 2004 by Nitesh Shetty, Bangalore-based Nitesh Estates is engaged in the development of residential real estate & commercial projects. It is also developing a hospitality project in Bangalore, and a residential and an office project in Kochi.

Nitesh Estates is also building a Rs.100 Cr luxury residential project in Bangalore which is expected to be completed in two years.

Some of its residential projects in Bangalore includes Nitesh Hyde Park, Nitesh Forest Hills, Nitesh Flushing Meadows among others and Nitesh Wimbledon Gardens, a residential and commercial project in Kochi.

In February, HDFC Property Ventures Limited sold its 50% stake in JV project - Nitesh Indiranagar Mall to JV partner Nitesh Estates Limited.

HDFC's real estate arm invested $20 Mn in Nitesh’s 1.5-million-sqft mall project at Indiranagar in Bangalore in 2009 and given the rate of 20% return on investment, it may have exited for $24 Mn.

Request of M/s. Parsvnath SEZ Limited for third extension of the validity period of formal approval, granted for setting up of sector specific SEZ for IT/ITES at Nedumbassery and Chengamanadu villages, Aluva Taluk, Ernakulam District, Kerala, beyond 25th October 2011 The developer was granted formal approval for setting up the above mentioned SEZ, over an area of 30.76 hectares, vide LoA dated 26th October 2006. The SEZ is yet to be notified. The notification is under process in the D/o Commerce. The developer has already been granted two extensions. The validity of the last extension was up to 25th October, 2011. The developer has given the details of steps taken to implement the project. The developer has reported that the project was not implemented owing to delay occurred in land acquisition and is expected to complete the project by 2013. It has been informed that so far about Rs. 22 crores have been invested in the project. The developer needs more time to complete the project and has, therefore, requested for grant of further extension of validity of the formal approval. DC, CSEZ, has recommended the request of the developer.

I feel theres still good chance....

Unitech SEZ - 25% chance / dead
KCA stadium - Buried

Parsvnath is now retaining only KOCHI SEZ. Rest all of its SEZ approvals have been returned back. This shows they are strongly interested to develop. Only thing is they are adopting a wait and watch approach.

Emaar MGF Project is dead. Emaar is in process of winding up its India operations and given the sitution in Dubai, chances will be too less, unless Emaar returns back via Smart City..... The Govt of Dubai is still mooting the idea of merger of several Govt owned real estate firms to one single entity and considering Emaar's brand value, chances are more for merging Sama, Dubailand, Dubai Estates and DAMAC etc into Emaar and introduce Emaar into Dubai Holdings.... If so, chance are more Emaar to come back to Kochi in association with TECOM....

Unitech is almost dead..... Unless a turnaround happens, we cannot believe they are going to bang back

Elbit has announced its Kochi Project, a month back thro' Plaza Center. I strongly believe, they might be soon starting its Mall project and later into township. I give a 50% chance than 25%

KCA stadium is not a dead project.... Once the state level environment authority comes up, I think, its possible for a revival. After all there is no Jairam Ramesh in Environmental Ministry.....
