its not only one... they are two but dont think its easy. the distance between the two coasts is not that small... btw vasco da gama bridge used to be one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) bridges in europe(you can see it in the last pic. its located deep in the other side of the peninsula) . correct me if i'm wrong! thanx :P

two bridges..
25th April Bridge (25th April 1974 finishes the dictatorship in Portugal. before called the name of dictator - Salazar Bridge) and Vasco da Gama Bridge (a portuguese discover).

The Tagus River (Rio Tejo in portuguese) is very broad.. The Vasco da Gama bridge is the largest in Europe with a length of 17.2 km..:)

are there any plans for developments at the other site of the river?from the pic it looks very sparsely populated....

In this picture seems that the other side of the river is little urban .. but it is only in that area that can be seen in the photo..

is a cable car .. enter and you can see the sights ..:)
