Good aftie Cebu..and mga bisdak..hehehe...I am also excited to see how the Osmena Blvd would look like after the beautification and the BRT..IMO..it would look good if the Blvd is uniformed in terms of the width..kay dba after sa McDo dra sa Jones mogamay naman ang Blvd?it would be nice if the width of the entire length sa Blvd would be kanang sa sa picture above..

and just thought of sharing since im here in a different place..in terms of land area..Auckland city if ibutang sa cebu, it would encompass Talisay city, Cebu City, Mandaue City, whole island of Mactan, Danao, all the way up to Tuburan..although 3 cities nana kay nag merge man ang Auckland, North Shore and Manukau to have 1 super city which is Auckland..mura rasad gud ug metro Cebu..but usa ra ang Mayor for the 3 cities..which is good...kay usa ra ang resources, then if naa projects for a certain city, maapil pud sa kahig ang uban cities..plus uniformed..dili ma putol..like if ever ma implement ang BRT..d man ganhan ang talisay so ma putol..anyway..just thought of sharing it..hehehe..God bless everyone

Actually, its not just Alcantara.. In Medellin also, there is an ongoing Medium Rise condominium complex which had been under construction since last year...

Its just sad we could not reach to that area thats why we couldnt get further details on it... According, to the source it is a res. condo complex financed by Koreans.. :D

alcantara town is promising, anywhere from santander to bantayan, from mactan to toledo are potentials from real state, with the hilly terrain of cebu, it is the best place to put a mid-rise to high rise buildings, many cities had done that, why not in cebu? or in alcantara town? all are feasible and possible for development, and this is the first mid-rise/high-rise to tise in western cebu or facing the negros island, anyway, my chickboy franchise will came to cebu soon, around a year or two, hehehehe, kkkaaaiiinnn kayo ha!

i was so amazed when i saw the part of mandaue that used to be an illegal settlers lair nga wala nay mga squatters. i dont know the name of that place but its near old mandaue-mactan bridge near baradirohan, i am very surprised because few years back that area there is so filthy full of slums and now its nowhere to be found...kudos to mayor cortez n alimpyo na gyud tawn nang dapita diha and mayor mike rama has to follow that achievement most especially sa mga squatter diha daplin sa dagat luyo sa SRP.

by the way the alcantara condominium project is another boost for the cebu province. alcantara is a very nice place, i went there once before.

Resilient and proud, the Philippines takes off

an excerpt

In the business and tourism province of Cebu, income grew a staggering 10 percent in 2010. With nine economic zones that offer help with company registration and other red tape, good incentives, plus culture of professionalism, Governor Gwendolyn Garcia noted in her State of the Province Address in July that Cebu "remains strong and gets stronger with each passing year."

Thanks to solid bonds between elected officials, business groups, the public and private sectors and the people of the province themsevles, Cebu continues to draw investors. The province has many universities and other educational institutions that serve as a magnet to students from other provinces, a major factor of a highly skilled and efficient workforce in Cebu.

The province will showcase Cebu to the world, when it hosts the 12th East Asia Tourism Forum in September of this year. Delegations from 12 countries, including China and Russia, will come to experience the dynamism, beauty and unique charm that sets Cebu apart.

Another For the Win for Cebu....

ERUF now one of Asia's best (http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=713202&publicationSubCategoryId=107)
By Ryan Christopher J. Sorote/FPL (The Freeman) Updated August 04, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (0)

Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation officials, (L-R) Atty. Terrence Fernandez, Dr. Jesus Ravanes, Dr. Pek Eng Lim, chairman, Mona Li, Charlie Taguiam, Herminio Cortes and Dr. Kenneth Chan, answer questions from the media for their upcoming 25th year anniversary celebration. PAUL JUN E. ROSAROSO
| Zoom
CEBU, Philippines - After years of struggle and toil, the Cebu based Emergency Rescue Unit Foundation (ERUF) now stand as one of the best emergency units in Southeast Asia.

As they celebrate their 25th anniversary on September 13, the group looked back at how they started with only few old junked vehicles at their disposal during emergencies.

Dr. Jesus Ravanes, over all chairperson of the ERUF silver jubilee celebration, told The FREEMAN how proud their team is to have become one of best emergency teams in Asia.

Ravanes said they have exceeded other emergency units in Metro Manila, Makati and Davao City with their relentless efforts in the past years.

They are the only accredited and recognized medical team by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) based in the United States of America together with another emergency medical service (EMS) team in Hong Kong.

NAEMT is a professional association representing all EMS practitioners, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, first responders and other professionals working in pre-hospital emergency medicine throughout the globe.

In their aim to “serve so others may live,” ERUF has worked the path of sacrifice and true service as they are now recognized by various agencies in America and the European Union.

Though with only minimal supports from local government units where they serve, volunteers have exceeded what the forefathers of ERUF have dreamed in the past – to be world class.

Since 1986, ERUF has grown in terms of manpower, accomplishments both locally and abroad. The group which started with only 24 men has grown to an army of 300 well-trained and selfless personnel.

ERUF has also extended their world class knowledge by training barangay volunteers in Paramedic Training operations like the very active Pardo Emergency Rescue Unit.

With over 31 vehicles used in various purposes from emergency response and rescue, ERUF is one of the most equipped EMS team in the country. Although they said they are just 75-percent equipped, but no other teams have come close to what they now have.

ERUF RUN

In celebration of their 25th year of existence, the ERUF will host an “ERUF 161 RUN” on September 11, 2011 to raise funds to purchase new portable defibrillators to be used in their day-to-day operations.

A portable defibrillator, which costs P500, 000, is a machine used to shock victim’s heart into action after cardiac arrest.

With such machine on each of their 13 ambulances means more lives could be saved. ERUF is asking the public to support their endeavor for the benefit of every Cebuano under their care.

The run will have 12K, 6K, and 3K which will start and end at Mandaue City Reclamation Area, across Park Mall. The course is fat and fast and will be ideal for all ages. The run will start at 5:30 a.m until 8:30 a.m.

Prize will also be awarded to the top ten over all male and female runners in each category while special awards will also be given to the best in costume, the oldest and youngest runners.

Interested participants can register for only P250 at their headquarters in Banilad Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City Hall, and the Cebu City Sports Center. — (FREEMAN)

International Conventions to be held in Cebu (AUGUST-SEPTEMBER)

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/7877/mice.png

Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions, Exhibitions, and Events

Cebu is playing host to the Philippine Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions, Exhibitions, and Events (MICE) conference on August 10 to 13, 2011, coinciding with the One Cebu celebration of the Cebu provincial government. The event’s plenary session will be held at the Cebu International Convention Center in Mandaue, with tours to be spread out in Cebu. The theme of this year’s conference is “I share. You connect. We change.”

The international event will gather more than three hundred delegates to convene for discussions on the MICE market, which is thought of as unpredictable but also lucrative. MICE’s market of about fifty million visitors would mean a definite boost to tourism because it combines destinations, air travel, accommodations, food and beverage, and so forth. Former DOT regional director Patria Aurora Roa, who is one of the conference organizers, said that Cebu should cash in so that it can reap benefits from being a MICE destination.

Cebu previously hosted the MICE conference in 1993 and in 1998. Hans Hauri, president of the Hotel, Resort, and Restaurant Association of Cebu (HRRAC) as well as general manager of Marco Polo Plaza, said the multimillion-peso budget that the Department of Tourism (DOT) allocated for the conference would help provide business-class flights and excellent accommodations for thirty international buyers and resource speakers.

Those interested in this event can follow its Twitter account, MICECON2011. More details on this event can be found in the info graphic below from the DOT’s Tourism Promotions Board; please click the image to see the large version.

Cebu to host international tourism forum in September
By Gregg M. Rubio/JPM (The Freeman) Updated July 29, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (0)

CEBU, Philippines - A tourism official of the Republic of Korea sees Cebu’s hosting of the 11th general assembly of the East Asia Inter-Regional Tourism Forum (EATOF) to bring more active participation from member-provinces.

The Deputy Director of Tourism Marketing of Gangwon Province of the Republic of Korea, Roy Myung Woo, visited the other day at the office of Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia.

Woo met with Garcia’s chief of staff, Elizabeth Francia and Provincial Tourism Office in-charge Grace Paulino, to further discuss the preparations.

“This 11th general assembly in Cebu will bring more active participation from member-provinces and this is the best opportunity to experience the local cultures in Cebu,” Woo said.

Eight governors reportedly have confirmed attendance in the EATOF general assembly on September 14 to 17 at the Cebu International Convention Center.

EATOF is a voluntary association that brings together local governments in East Asia to jointly develop the tourism industry.

The 12 members of EATOF are Cebu, Philippines; Jilin, China; Gangwon, Korea; Sarawak, Malaysia; Yogyakarta, Indonesia; Tottori, Japan; Luang Prabang, Laos; Tuv, Mongolia; Primorsky, Russia; Chiang Mai, Thailand; Siem Reap, Cambodia and Quang Ninh, Vietnam.

Vice Governor Agnes Magpale, chairperson of the Provincial Board Committee on Tourism, said they are more than 80 percent complete with the preparations for EATOF and all committees are already in place.

Paulino said they would be renting a simultaneous interpreter’s booth similar to what was used during the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit, which would be rented from Manila.

Earlier, Garcia also met representatives of Hyundai-Cebu Inc. who offered the use of 12 latest model-luxury vehicles for the use of participating governors during their stay in Cebu.

Lowell Belarmino, general sales manager of Hyundai-Cebu Inc., said they offered their brand new cars in support to Garcia’s program.

Last year, Garcia attended the assembly held in Quang Ninh Province in Vietnam.

Garcia assumed as leader of the EATOF after Quang Ninh’s hosting.

Because of the goodwill ties, Garcia said Cebu is now enjoying several chartered flights from visiting EATOF member-provinces such as China, Korea, and Russia.

Look at Fuente Osmena, naa na'y ningdonate og more than 10 million para ma-rehabilitate na, pero na on-hold lang tungod sa bangi between city hall ug capitol.

Unya naa pa to'y street lighting, sa Lahug man siguro to, nga ang mga establishment duol ato nga dalan, mao na nag-abaga sa gasto.

the former owns the plaza, hence, they are free to do whatever they want to do with their property while the latter is only an occupant or tenant of the building...

and this is exactly why cebu is economically successful, tungod sa participation sa private sector. so nganu gud dili na ipanghambog? the people behind ERUF are cebuanos din naman.

in the case of cebu, ERUF made a strong foothold na that the local government does not need to form its own team. pareho ra gud na sa uban na LGU. they do not have an active private sector participation but the need is there, so sila na mismo ang nag initiate uf form sa ilang own response team.

pareho ra pud na sa city beautification campaign, its private sector led. even the city's own financial district is privately owned (save for SRP).

Cebuano voluntarism in action....

RAFI's planting activity draws 55,375 participants (http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=713538&publicationSubCategoryId=107)
By Mechievilla Carline Benolerao, USJR /LPM (The Freeman) Updated August 05, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (0)

CEBU, Philippines - Thousands of Cebuanos have supported the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc.’s tree growing initiative held in June.

In fact, a total of 55,375 had participated in the Run 2 Plant 4 Greenin Philippines simultaneously held in 48 municipalities and cities in the province.

The figure exceeded RAFI’s target of 20,000 participants.

The program planted more than 200,000 native tree species, fruit trees seedlings, and mangrove species in 110 hectares of forestlands and private lands across Cebu.

In Talisay City, where the central event was held, around 10,000 participants planted 12,500 seedlings within the Mananga Watershed.

Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said she was happy with the participation of the local government units in the event.

She said she is proud of the mayors for making their towns and cities aware of the environmental concerns.

The local chief executives also invited the private sector and schools to participate in the event.

According to the foundation, the planted native tree seedlings will be monitored to make them become vibrant forests. (FREEMAN)

Sinulog is in the air....

Hike in Sinulog grand prize eyed (http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=713536&publicationSubCategoryId=107)
By Jessica Ann R. Pareja/LPM (The Freeman) Updated August 05, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (0)

CEBU, Philippines - The Sinulog Foundation Inc. is pushing for the increase in the grand prize for the Sinulog Grand Parade next year from P500,000 to P1 million.

Ricky Ballesteros, Executive Director of SFI said they have requested the Cebu City government to increase the budget it is allocating for the Sinulog 2012 so they could increase the prize to P1 million for grand prize and the subsidy by P50,000 to out-of-town contingents.

Ballesteros said from P100,000, they plan to increase the subsidy to out-of-town contingents to P150,000 to encourage them to continue participating the festival.

Ballesteros said that out-of-town contingents usually spend at least P500,000.

And since the Sinulog Festival is upgrading its standards yearly, Ballesteros said there are valid reasons to increase the grand prize.

The SFI held its first meeting for the Sinulog 2012 yesterday, in which the tentative schedule of activities was presented to the organizing committee.

Ballesteros said they also discussed next year’s theme which will complement the recent declaration of Cebu City as the ASEAN City of Culture.

Earlier, Ballesteros said there were suggestions to a ‘futuristic’ theme next year but it had to be set aside because the current plan is more appropriate at the moment.

The Department of Tourism has also chosen Cebu City as the first city to be featured in the launching of the Philippine Culture’s Month.

Ballesteros said DOT will be participating in the float competition and all its officers, especially regional directors, will be coming over to join.

He said they will also invite ASEAN ambassadors and representatives. (FREEMAN)

Niisa bitaw.... because your proposition is not simply true and it smacks of exaggeration IMO. I dont know whats really your motive when it is not even suggested by the person you quoted.

While Cebu's roads are not perfect or as world class as we want it to be it is not 90% as bad as you want to portray...

In my own assessment bad roads in cebu may not even reach 20%... and when i say bad roads, those roads which qualified as dusty, unpaved, uncemented or asphalted, bumpy etc. ( the best example is the interior road from Whitegold to SM)...

pinagkaguluhan nyo naman yung OPINION ni slerz, like everything else its HIS opinion. its not the gospel truth. some people (especially the vultures, bangaws and the likes who are antagonistic and bitter) will feast on his opinion. pero knowing slerz and just for everybodys info. hindi naman kasi typical philippine standard ang standard ni slerz, he is comparing the state of cebu's roads to WORLD-CLASS cities and other cities OUTSIDE the country where he has been to (penang?). kaya if you compare cebu's roads (and not just cebu but MOST roads in big vismin cities) 90% talaga would pale in comparison to cities na ginagawang standard ni slerz.

pero im sure, those percentage (90%) would be different if ang gagawing comparison and standard ni slerz ay yung what we typically have in pinas.

kaya dun sa mga cebuanos na na offend, intindihin nyo kung saan nya kinocompare ang state ng cebu's roads, no need to raise an eyebrow. same goes to the bangaws, hindi po kayo ang ginawang standard at batayan ni slerz so dont rejoice.

pataasan lang ng standard yan.

It is good that our LGU is taking criticisms in a constructive way.

Criticism: Ang Cebu wala'y daghan tanom
Answer: LGU, Veco, DENR, RAFI and other organizations nagbanos banos lang og tree planting.

Criticism: Ang mga dalan sa Sugbo, gubaon ug nagkayamukat.
Answer: Road beautification, asphalt storm.

Criticism: Ang Cebu daghan basura, sige'g baha
Answer: Strict implementation of garbage segregation. Sanitary landfill gi-close na para di mabutang sa delikado ang mga lumulupyo. Master drainage plan is one of the priority sa LGU karon.

Criticsm: Nagka-traffic na sa Cebu
Answer: BRT ug road widening.

Criticism: Ang mga Cebuano gwapo
Answer: Wa ta'y mahimo ana.

exactly!

mao bitaw atong mga hospitals diri sa cebu kay nagpa accredit sa international bodies kay dili man gud enough ang philhealth benchmark accreditation (3 are centers of excellence btw) kay to them, why go local lang when we can go global.

thats why MCIA passed aerodome certification ahead of other major airports in the country.

thats why ERUF is accredited and recognized by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) based in the United States of America and now one of asias best response team.

when we stop aiming for more, mawala na ang very essence of cebu's dynamic economy.

and this is exactly why cebu is economically successful, tungod sa participation sa private sector. so nganu gud dili na ipanghambog? the people behind ERUF are cebuanos din naman.

in the case of cebu, ERUF made a strong foothold na that the local government does not need to form its own team. pareho ra gud na sa uban na LGU. they do not have an active private sector participation but the need is there, so sila na mismo ang nag initiate uf form sa ilang own response team.

pareho ra pud na sa city beautification campaign, its private sector led. even the city's own financial district is privately owned (save for SRP).

sorry cant help but repost it here!

correct! ikapasigarbo gyud gihapon nato ang ERUF even though private company sya coz sila maoy nagserve sa Cebuano public esp. in times of emergency response with their state-of-the-art facilities and equipments. IMO, No need for the Cebu City LGU to put up its own emergency rescue unit if you can clearly SEE that other private organizations such as ERUF is very much efficient, reliable, fast and productive in their work. No need for the City to compete with ERUF. Mas magpasalamat gani ang City coz naay ni-offer na magput-up og emergency response unit (ERUF) para muserve sa general public. In that way, maka-save pa ang City sa gastuhan and we can use the money for other projects that needs to be address within the city. so I believe, dapat lang gyud natong ipanghambog TODO TODO ang ERUF kay kita maoy nagpahimos sa ilang MAAYONG SERBISYO! :okay:

Cebu port gets contraband detection equipment
By Mitchelle L. Palaubsanon/JPM (The Freeman) Updated August 07, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (0) View comments

CEBU, Philippines - The United States Government donated three units of CT-30-Contraband Detection Equipment Kit to the three ports of the Bureau of Customs, including the Port of Cebu.

BOC-Cebu District Collector Ronnie Silvestre said that one of the equipment was given to Cebu the other day to intensify further its contraband detection efforts. It is now under the custody of the Enforcement and Security Services. One set costs around P1 million. The tools and instruments can detect contraband in confined spaces.

Other recipients were the Ports of Cagayan de Oro and Zamboanga Cities.

The equipment was turned over by Michael McNamara, program advisor of the U.S. Department of State Export Control and Related Border Security and his staff members.

Silvestre said the equipment, which is portable, can detect contraband inside a container van without necessarily unloading the contents of the van. This helps for a quick and thorough inspection of suspicious cargoes.

“Meron siyang parang camera na maliit na pwede mong ipasok sa loob ng container van na kahit na yong nakatagong maliliit na pakete like drugs, it can still detect. So malaking tulong talaga ang equipment lalo na sa enforcement natin,” Silvestre said.

Silvestre added that the said equipment can also be used at the airport in detecting smuggled goods or items or chemicals of mass destruction.

“We are thankful that Cebu port is one of the beneficiaries. This is a government to government arrangement,” Silvestre said.

Road widening project: P17T for every family affected
By Rene U. Borromeo/LPM (The Freeman) Updated April 25, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (0) View comments

CEBU, Philippines - Families affected by the widening of M. Velez and Don Gil Garcia Streets besides the Cebu Provincial Capitol building will receive cash assistance equivalent to a two-month minimum pay.

M. Velez Street from V. Rama Avenue, including the bridge near the Andres Abellana Street, has already been widened. But a small portion near the Capitol building was not included in the widening.

Tomas to sue Mike (http://www.sunstar.com.ph/cebu/local-news/2011/08/07/tomas-sue-mike-171480)
SunStar Online
Jujemay G. Awit and Princess Dawn H. Felicitas
Sunday, August 7, 2011

REP. Tomas Osmeña (Cebu City, south district) threatened to sue Mayor Michael Rama and the City Legal Office if they will allow the Cebu Provincial Government and Fifth Avenue Development Corp. to push through with the P1.2-billion Ciudad project.

This, as Cebu City Vice Mayor Joy Augustus Young said he will hire the services of a consultant of former mayor Alvin Garcia.

At the height of his conflict with Mayor Rama over who should sign the contracts of legislative consultants, Young announced he will hire lawyer Rico Tautho as legal consultant.

Osmeña reacted to the legal opinion recently issued by City Hall’s legal office endorsing the Ciudad project.

“We will just see them in court… What this means is that the Ciudad investors and tenants stand to lose their investments. I’m just giving them a word of caution,” the congressman said, in a text message to Sun.Star Cebu.

Osmeña said Rama and the legal office are the same personalities who opposed his proposal to settle the claim of the heirs of Fr. Vicente Rallos for P24 million without interest.

Because of their opposition, Osmeña said the City lost in the case, with the Supreme Court (SC) ruling that the City owed the Ralloses P224 million with interest for turning private properties in Barangays Sambag I and Sambag II into a public road.

Aside from that, Osmeña pointed out that Rama and the legal office are the same personalities who opposed the P9-million claim of Roque Ting, a businessman, against the City.

Ting had sued the City for demolishing his warehouses and encroaching on his 4,222-square-meter property when the SRP was implemented in 1997.

Osmeña said the City lost in the case and was ordered by the SC to award Ting P60 million.

“Remember that the mayor apparently does not have a decent performance record in litigation. Maybe he thinks that by being mayor, his IQ has gone up. His ego maybe, but not his IQ,” he said.

Sought for comment, Rama said he will answer all the statements against him in tomorrow’s press conference.

The legal office said the land owned by the Province along the Banilad-Talamban corridor may be used for commercial development.

While it is a commercial development, the legal office said the Ciudad project is for “public use” since the public will have access to it.

This is still in line with City Ordinance 2193, which amended the 1996 Zoning Ordinance of Cebu City. Section 1 of that ordinance declared that all lands acquired under the Friar Lands Act shall be for public use.

On the consultancy issue in City Hall, the Cebu City Council approved during its last session the resolution authorizing Young to sign the contract of Tautho.

Earlier, Young said he hired Tautho for his expertise, as the lawyer was a consultant of Garcia for eight years.

In the early to mid 1990s, Garcia was still a member of the Bando Osmeña Pundok Kauswagan (BOPK).

When it was apparent that Garcia was going to break away from BOPK in 2000, Rama got entangled in a verbal tussle with Tautho over the South Road Properties, then the South Reclamation Project (SRP).

Tautho, aside from being Garcia’s consultant when Garcia was vice mayor and mayor, was also legal and project consultant of SRP and legal consultant for the Cebu South Road.

Among the SRP issues that Rama and Tautho disagreed on was the issuance of a turnover certificate of completion to the contractor of the SRP even before the contract expired because work was already done. Rama was then a councilor.

Tautho was also a director of the Metropolitan Cebu Water District from 2001 to 2006.

While City Attorney Joseph Bernaldez said the mayor is the “primary official” who can execute and sign all consultancy contracts, he signed the resolution of the bids and awards committee, as its vice chairman, to award the consultancy contract of Tautho as legal consultant of the Office of the Vice Mayor.

The committee resolved to authorize Young to enter into a contract with Tautho.

Here...

Cebu gas field goes commercial starting 2012

UK-based Forum Energy Plc is putting into commercial production the Liberty natural gas field on Cebu island, with the start-up scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2012.

The output from Liberty, which was declared a commercial find in 2005, will fuel a 1 megawatt to 1.5 MW plant to be put up by Desco Inc. in Bogo, Cebu.

When on stream, Liberty, which is covered by Service Contract 40, will be the country’s second natural gas field to be tapped for power generation after Malampaya offshore northwest of Palawan which went into commercial production in 2001. Malampaya currently powers the 500 MW San Lorenzo and 1,000 MW Sta. Rita plants of the Lopez Group and the 1,250MW Ilijan plant of Korea Power Corp.

Forum Exploration Inc., a wholly owned unit of Forum Energy, holds 66.66 percent of the Libertad project while Forum Pacific Inc. owns the remaining 33.33 percent.

Forum also said it is reviewing 2D seismic data and is planning to drill more exploration wells in the Toledo and Maya areas, both also located in SC 40 2012.

The SC 40 contract area is in the Visayan Basin. The license area covers the northern area of Cebu island and the adjacent offshore areas in the Central Tañon Strait and Visayan Sea.

Since 1994, a total of 15 wells have been drilled offshore in the Visayan Basin; 13 of these are in the area covered by SC 40.

Forum also said the seismic data for the Sampaguita Gas Field located at the Recto Bank (formerly known as the Reed Bank) is still being processed. The company said the interpretation is expected to be available by the fourth quarter.

Forum Energy owns a 70 percent equity interest in the SC 72 license, which covers an 8,800 sq km area located offshore West Palawan in the West Philippine Sea.

The SC 72 work program includes 3D seismic work over an area of up to 550 sq km over and around the Sampaguita gas discovery and 2,200 line-kilometers of high resolution 2D over existing leads.
