The Peninsula Hong Kong, "The Grand Old Lady," is the most historical hotel in Hong Kong having first opened in 1928. Extensive renovation and the addition of the tower in 1994 have also made it one of Hong Kong's most classic hotel.
Guests are truly rewarded when staying in any of the 300 opulently decorated rooms or suites, which retained its nostalgic charm despite having the most advanced technological innovation.
The hotel boasts a unique array of dining experiences and function venues. Extensive spa facilities include a full harbor view Roman-style swimming pool, sun terrace, gymnasium, beauty and hair dressing salon. The skyscraper isn't old. Only the bottom part was built in 1927.
Looks nice... the Peninsula is a great hotel. There's a second one now, in Chicago, that was ranked the #1 hotel in the U.S. for 2003 by Zagat's. I've eaten brunch and used the gym there, it's excellent.
