Australian Infrastructure Fund is planning a expansion of the passenger terminal by an estimated 65 percent in a modern 3 level extension to cope with growing traffic. It will include improved retail precinct, two new aircraft parking bays, better security screening facilities, separate baggage reclaim and arrivals areas for domestic and international passengers, better security screening facilities and 160 new car spaces.
