Hey Everyone!

Jan is extremely busy right now with a project but he has set up the Thai Forum so we can all get started. Much of the layout, subtitle and details still need to be worked out(even the name isn't finalized) and feel free to post any of your ideas on how to make this forum great! I'll start moving relevant threads to this section in the next few days. Enjoy! :)

Windy city?? is the formally known for Chicago.,because it's close to the Lake as well as buildings so that make it much more windy than other cities around here. I was there last year. I had no question why it's so windy. I will go there again this June.

Ahhh hello everyone. I forgot to properly introduce myself to the forum too. I just found out about this forum about last week, thanks to a link in the 2bangkok forum. but, the problem is. What do you think or like to see between making ["new section for 75 provinces" and have main page for Bangkok only] or ["new section for Bangkok" and let the main page be for the whole Thailand.]

but i dont think all provinces in thailand will have new project...............
may be regions will be better............

It's not only about new projects my friend, it's about whats happenning, whats there and what "are" those provinces and cities...:)

introducing, unvailing appealing unseen parts of Thailand...;)

I think new section for 75 provinces is better though in the section may not have all 75 threads for all provinces.
For Bangkok, there is already various section such as new projects, urban facilities, Siam square. Another section for provinces may include new development, education, travel, local culture, people, infrastructures, etc. Anyway, I wonder how many of those information will be post since most of Thai forumers live in Bangkok and other country. :|

Yes, i think the new section is a great idea.

i'd like to suggest the following..

could it be possible to divide them into regions session? and the rest for BKK?

each particular session contains all the provinces in the region? so it's easier to find.

Major province will get its own sticky thread about their developments and infrastructures like Chiang Mai, Phuket-Krabi-Phang nga-Koh Samui, Pattaya-Koh Tao.

can we also organize the general news threads(health, politics, southern war, education, foriegn affairs) that are not about projects and infrastructures into one subforum?

so the main page would be

-----subforum------
1) subforum: Mega Projects / Infrastructure / Facilities /Architectures
2) subforum: News/Events/Happenings.
3) subforum: Siam Square
4) subforum: Other regions' developments.
- sticky: Northern region (Chiangmai/Chiangrai/Maehongson and more)
- sticky: Isan region (Korat/Khonkhan/Ubon/Udon and more)
- sticky: Southern region (Phuket/Krabi/Phang-Nga/Koh Samui/Tsunami recovery)
- sticky: Central region (eastern provinces-Pattaya/Koh Tao, Western provinces)
- non-sticky: everything else.
5) subforum: Bangkok's new developments

- sticky: Welcome thread

- sticky: BKK photos (prove it with your eyes..)

by the way, i think we should more Thai airway thread into the same category of subway/skytrain..

I'v been thinking where should the Thai Airway thead belongs for a long time, but the Urban mobility section is not sso proper...just look at the section's name, doent concerns with THAI airways at all lah..:)
