SeeMacau October 5th, 2003, 11:35 AM The skyline is not bad for a city with population around 200000.
Fabio January 4th, 2004, 11:13 PM 7/10
for its size
PegRules04 January 12th, 2004, 01:33 AM Nice city but all the taller buildings appear to be residential. Lack of office towers makes me want to give it a 4.
DiggerD21 July 9th, 2004, 04:02 AM 6,5, but only because of the small size of the city.
mauiboy63sea July 15th, 2004, 06:56 AM Another hard city to judge due to the vantage point of the pictures. I gave it a 4.5.
dj_metroid August 14th, 2004, 04:28 AM 6/10.....like the name though.

nightfire741 April 14th, 2005, 06:26 AM LOL, i thought someone would notice. Darn!! :bash:
Anyway thanks :) I just wanted to let everyone know that saskatoon is undergoing some major makovers! like the south downtown. Right now its just some old empty space with an abandon highschool. But look at what it will be!
you may need acrobat reader for this...

I think the plans look great!
MattSal April 14th, 2005, 01:06 PM I nice little 5.5/10 city. :okay:
mtb_nz April 14th, 2005, 01:23 PM Nice looking city... As its not just super tall buildings that make a city beautiful. 8.5/10
Jaybird April 15th, 2005, 02:58 AM For its population, the skyline isn't bad, although I am a bit disappointed, could use some more density and heightage, although of course it does look GREEN as someone said, but it looks like a NICE city, though. 6.5/10.

Nate April 15th, 2005, 07:46 AM Hey, Welcome to the forum nightfire :). I was born in saskatoon and lived there for most of my life :D ... And Im going back there in may for the Vesna Festival if you have heard of it.

It's built in the Canadian Chateau style. There are a couple of ones in that style throughout Canada... The Banff Springs Hotel is another example.

steveowevo January 27th, 2006, 03:20 AM I give Saskatoon a 9/10, just because I live here and love it. Sometime I need to get out downtown and get some new, more interesting photos (Living in the suberbs is so lame.)
Here's one of my favorite saskatoon pics, just cause it shows more of the nitty-gritty side of downtown that no one sees in the other photos that have been posted. :)

It's possible if potash over the long term becomes a highly valuable commodity like oil. Let's not forget that Potash Corp of Saskatchewan was briefly Canada's most valuable company when the price of fertilizer spiked. Saskatchewan has 50% of global reserves and could benefit tremendously as food becomes scarcer, and global populations continue to spike higher.

I remember a guy I talked to, He said that Saskatoon right now is the same size as Edmonton some years ago. So I would not be surprised if Saskatoon grows as big as Edmonton or even Calgary.
