Kyoto (京都市, Kyōto-shi?) is a city in the central part of the island of Honshū, Japan. It has a population close to 1.5 million. Formerly the imperial capital of Japan, it is now the capital of Kyoto Prefecture, as well as a major part of the Osaka-Kobe-Kyoto metropolitan area.

this city is one of the most strict height limitaton of building in japan.
they give importance to historycal beauty rather than modernization
im even surprised that kyoto even have a 100m class building

Kyoto is a magnificent city and it does not deserve the comments being posted here..!! And certainly it does not fit in this thread..it is too much of a jewel to be compared with any other city that doesn't have the historical standards that Kyoto does..never mind the architectural beauty and perfection..!!

Kyoto is one of the most beautiful cities in the world from the ground with all its historical charm. However, skyscraper wise.. not great.
