Looks grand in most
Due to small size seems to ahve no real mess or poor desgin
Caost line not as imprssive with all the building looking dull and the same like bland wall

The city looks older (character and personality) and that is very nice. Why does every city have to be made of glass and steel. Enough with the tall glass boxes!

I love the old charm beauty of this city. I think there is actually an area with a few sleek modern highrise towers, one of the the famous Antel Tower. Anyone has pics of this area?????

For a country of only 3 million, to have a city of 1.5 million is a great achievement. I'll give it 6.5 out of 10.

Montevideo is beautiful! I´ve been there on Monday, it´s a really nice city..It´s like a smaller version of Buenos Aires. Anyway I prefer Punta del Este...the best city in Uruguay! althoug is more a summer city, where many rich Argentines, Brazilians and Europeans have houses or apartments.

Montevideo is beautiful, as a city ill give it a 10/10 but as an skyline ill have to give her a 6/10 (althought the Antel tower deserves an 11/10).

In the other hand I dont agree in "one of the most important capital cities in South America". Come on Uruguay is the smallest country in area and population and its GDP only surpass those of Bolivia and Paraguay. Althought the quality of life in this small city is one of the best in Latin America and is the third most developed country in the region after Argentina and Chile.

Anyway Montevideo is quite nice but the best skyline in Uruguay is Punta del Este.
