It was Prestige on launch, but they've rechristened it to Choice Paradise. :)

btw you mind keeping the Int'l Cochin forum updated? We have dearth of active Cochin forumers here, just KMC is the active one around. The ones cropping up are just eternal trolls only looking for trouble and yearning for the whip from the mods. We've enough and more Cochin projects good enough to be exhibited in the World stage. :)

Good that you mentioned it, I guess North Star (30 floors) would be 128m from base to top. This one, at 40 floors may still be a couple of meters short with the helipad and other terrace structures included. Now we'll have to wait for the Heera Kadinamkulam project or the mystery project of vjarchitects to overtake the Northstar. ;)

^^ 'Bangalore 47' or the Trump Tower was announced some time back. Infact the guy who was involved in the project used to give us info in SSC. If that project gets started, then it would be the tallest. It is a mix of of commercial plus residential, bang at the Brigade Road-Residency Road intersection. At present the land is cleared and used as a parking yard, I park my car there on weekends to buy booze and food.

BTW North star is 2 basement + Ground+ 30

we need to wait and see how many of the new buildings announced will indeed go ahead with the earlier plans , as recession might have completly changed their business propositions .
So even if a buiilding sticks to their orginal plans and actually starts construction by now , it will take 2 years to beat Choice paradise in all probability ....( Under present scenario , very unlikely that projects like Lancos tower will get to see light of the day as they are bleeding and their shares are hardly traded in exchanges) .

So Choice Paradise will be the undisputed crown for sometime to come ...

Choice Paradise now well into the 30s. :)

The structure looks complete, all they need to do is finish painting the building.

@sudeeshnair: When this building and a few others near Cochin get finished, please take a skyline shot of everything in the 30-40F+ range.

Please update your information.South India's tallest tower is in Bangalore .South India's tallest residential appartment and tallest tower in kerala is Burj Al HIND tower at calicut,Taller than choice paradise ,but it is an under construction building . A 112 floor building known as Lanco hills signature tower is proposed in Hyderabad and it will easily become South Indias tallest tower.

Burj Alhind nor Lanco Hills tower is built, so that makes Choice Paradise South India's tallest residential tower for now.

KOCHI: South India's tallest residential tower, the 450 ft Choice Paradise, has been completed by Choice Construction at Tripunithura 15 kms from here.

Choice Group Managing Director Jose Thomas said that the building has been designed to withstand earthquakes with intensity of 7.2 in the Richter scale. The company has completed the construction of the 40 storey luxury apartment tower in 4 years.

He said that the company has adhered to all the safety norms prescribed in the National Building Code in the construction of the project. The total cost of the project has touched Rs 78 crore.

The project has come up in a plot of 2.75 acres of land in Tripunithura and covers an area of 2,50,000 sq.ft.. There are 132 apartments in the project.
