Sobha Developers launched its first integrated township “ Sobha City ” in Thrissur, Kerala on 13th May 2007 .


This will be developed in 55 acres of land with a developable area of over

As far as i know, they have cancelled the proposal, coz they found it hard to market the apartments,the current towers u/c are not yet sold out, villas was sold like hot cakes.

yes, 100+:). Generally people think here, that villa s will be more comfortable, because , in the case of flats which has 20 floors, it is very difficult to reach the flat, esepecially when they have to bring furitutre etc to flat. So most of the people are ready to buy villa s and apartments which have 3 floors. This does not mean the flats are not sold. But as you said, the number of floors will be upto 15-16 floors generally.

PVR is coming to Thrissur! good news aldrich. Thrissur should have multiplex facilities. Joy Alukkas and Kalyan's housing project also will be an eye catching in Shobha city. Let us hope so.

whoopy PVR coming to Thrissur at last.....was hearing this news for a long time...but now becoming a reality.....i'm cautiously optimistic......was waiting for a multiplex in Thrissur.....tired of going to Kochi for watching movies in multiplexes....

Had a talk with a guy in sobha engineering team at Bangalore. The project is still 9 towers. 3 towers almost done. 3 towers construction in process. Another 3 towers in design phase.

So the tiltle should be 26x9 Towers.

The project is really good, but the interiors look bit disappointing to me, looks quite average with the tile work and restrooms they have done. They could have done away with those white colors. Exteriors do look promising.

Infact untill seeing these pics, I never felt that anything so important for Sobha Hitech City in Kochi. But to be very honest, after seeing the level of quality they keep for their Thrissur project, I sense the big loss which we had face in Kochi.

But one thing for sure , sobha mall will be one of its kind in kerala as its completely inside a private township rather than in a congested area , which gives it a completely different ambiance and pollution free environment, people definitely will prefer such places ....and if the lake side of sobha is also open to public ,, man that will be world class

Menon’s desire to do something in his home state led him to launch Sobha City – a self-contained township of international standards and scale, at Thrissur, Kerala, in May 2007. The name of this city project which is fast nearing completion with the batting of the eyelid is Sobha City. Once the final touches get complete in 2017, Sobha City will become the first integrated township in Kerala.

This project is bringing not only the modern world's facilities but also the long lost nostalgia to the Malayalees. Mornings waken up to fresh flowers and rivers. Dew drops that make the green quilts cool. Quiet twilights. Nights that fall asleep on the soft caresses of light winds... Unchanged nostalgia even if Malayalees become modern to any extent. Memories that fade away in the busy city life. While we are getting choked inside the four walls of a flat culture, Trichur Sobha City is bringing back those village goodness to Malayalees. This big project is spread across 55 acres of land.

The 1st tower is completed... The 2nd towers construction is on progress... And the 3rd tower construction is not started... The all construction are completed on merely 2015...

Firefighters visit Sobha City , Thrissur to learn more about fire fighting systems in residential complexes!

Kerala Fire and Rescue Force department officers visited Sobha City, Thrissur to learn and understand the Fire fighting system of Sobha Topaz on 01st February 2013. The officers of various cadres and from various districts of Kerala, who are getting promoted this year are undergoing a rigorous training at the Government Fire and Rescue academy founded in Thrissur. The fire fighting system of Sobha City has been completely designed and executed in-house by Sobha Developers Ltd.

"About 48 per cent of my sales are from people from the Middle East [in Kerala]," says P Ramakrishnan, the deputy managing director at Sobha Developers.

The state is awash with billboards plastered with advertisements showing enviably luxurious villas with shimmering turquoise swimming pools and slogans promising "the key to the good life" and access to "a truly international lifestyle" or "the benchmark for luxury living".
Nisanth MN, the senior general manager for Sobha City, says prices of four-bedroom villas in the completed first phase at the development, built around a 6.5 acre manmade lake, have surged from about 23m rupees when they were sold off-plan in 2007 to a resale value of about 40m now.

True..but they were facing some clearance issues from Ministry of Environment. Not sure whether they received approval or not. It was supposed to be a 5000 Cr project
