Gabon in west africa between cameroon and the rep of congo is the richest country in africa

with a gdp percaptia higher than most asian and latin america countries

the gdp percapita of gabon is $5500 whereas that of mauritius is $11000.
so clive330 is right. it has better per capita income even when compared to south africa. bt figures are just due to lower population. although the place is very good...only next to south africa.

its a great holiday destination for us south africans...port louis a nice buzz to it

I love love love love Mauritius. I have been there 3 times already and it is definitely the best African country. The people, the atmosphere, the beaches, it is safe and it is cheap.

Port Louis' skyline is impressive and the city's new waterfront is a model for other cities to follow. I want to go back but first I must meet Mr Right.
