Hi helenic friends,

I'm going to make a trip to the beautiful island of Rhodes. I'm gonna stay in Rhodes town for 3 nights and in Falikari for 4 nights. I'm a student so I don't have a lot of money to spend in spite knowing that Rhodes is a little bit expensive.

What do you recommend about restaurants (until 12€ more or less) in Rhodes and Falikari? What about the nightlife do you have some nice tips?

If you want to add something about the island or its hidden treasures feel free to do it.

Thanks in advance.
See you.

Hi Lindo? Naa!,
You probably mean Faliraki, not falikari, right?:)

When you say you can spend 12 euros , do you mean 12 euros per day or per meal?
Anyway, you can eat very well with 5 to 6 euros if you buy something like gyros with pita, souvlaki etc. If you mean 12 euros per meal, you can spend those 5 euros for dinner eating souvlaki and keep the rest to get a decent lunch at a taverna- if you share the salad with someone (Greek salad is too much for just one person) you can have a good meal at a taverna . Check the prices first! there are places where they charge salads a fortune and stay away from them ;)

Tavernas at the seaside are more expensive than those that do not have a view to the sea in general while the food is as good or better. There are hotels that may have a buffet open to visitors for something like 10 euros and you can eat as much as you want. There is usually a board outside that says so. Just look around.

Check the photo thread about Rodos to see places you want to visit.

Lindo? Naa!,also i don't know if you're a driver or not,but in my opinion Rhodes is perfect for renting a car-its not too big and not too small as well.
When i went there, about 3-4 years ago,we rented a car,it really worthed it -two,three days could be enough. When i did that i took a map and just started driving anywhere i wanted-we went to hidden beaches, hot spots, caves ,even mountains haha it was great.

Absolutely amazing! I visited Rhodes, Lindos and Faliraki. Rhodes city is stunning. Lindos has the best beach over the others. Faliraki is nice but the nightlife was so empty. I guess in July or August it will become more crowded.

Thanks everybody and Yiamas!
